Was There A Password Reset or Something?

So... I can no longer login to the Warrior Forum using my username. Was there a massive password reset or something?

    They changed the forum software...

try logging in using your old username and password... it will fail, but
then click the recover password link.

You'll then be able to recover the new password and get access to
    your old username.

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

Yeah... except that I no longer have access to that e-mail address.

Any admins here? Can someone PM me?

If your join date was indeed this month - may you should just re-register. The forum name you are using will not suit well once you are no longer a newbie....just a thought.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Ij ust had to go through the password reset process as well since
I notice the new forum wasn't letting me in and when I tried to
register as NEW I realize that my information was already in.

There should have been some instructions about this EXCEPT that
I totally missed it since I also missed the 'move' notice.

Same here. Has to go through the password reset as the forum is not letting me in with my old username + password.

I am grateful that Allen has "bitten the bullet" and upgraded the Forum software.

I'm only listing my experience with the transition to show it might be made a bit easier for the technically challenged, not as a complaint of any sort.

Unfortunately, there is only a yellow banner across the page at the "old" WForum telling people to go to the new address.

To me, that thin banner looks like something a hacker would put on a site to lure people to a malware location.

I do remember that the old Forum was hacked a while back but I don't remember any details because I figured it would be fixed and I knew I couldn't help do that.

The two references I saw on the old site said to click on the Get Password link but did not say that we should enter our old details first, so I spent a bit of time looking for that link.

The full explanation is listed here, in the new Forum which I'd guess that people who haven't registered can't see it?

I found a way in by going to the FAQ for the new forum.

I hope some way is found to make the content of the old forum searchable by Members here.

I am sure there is a gold, no .... platinum mine there.

Allen, Brad and the unsung others who contributed, thanks for everything.

If you no longer have access to your old email add, log into the old style warriorfrum and change your email add. Then get your password reset via the new warriorforum. I was given the "forgot password" option when I had made 5 unsuccessul login attempts.

That's how I successully reset it just a couple of hours ago.

Just went thru the reset process myself. Do note it takes 2 emails, and there's a few minutes waiting time in between.

                  Hey NewForumHelpMe:

The old forum url is www.warriorforum.com/forum. Looks like you can still read the old posts, but you can't reply to any, nor can you post new threads.

                  Cheers

That's what I did. Then...when I got to the control panel I reset it to my old password and All Is As It Was.

Except...I can't figure out how to those smiley things now.
