Get Your Blog Indexed & knowing when its done?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could let me know the best way to index your blog, and how do you know when it is indexed?

    Build some links to it, submit the RSS feed to directories.

    It's indexed when it shows up when you do a search like this on Google.

      If you are using wordpress there are quite a lot of plugins out there that will help you with pinging search engines etc once you've gone live or posted a new blog, which may also be of help to you.

    Social bookmark your site. It will get indexed. Or, link to it in an ezine article or anywhere else on the web that you know is crawled constantly. Then, to see if it's been indexed, search for your site "http://site.com" like that in quotes in Google, and see if it comes up. If it does, it's been indexed.
