newbie-seeking advice

Hi,
I have just registered & finding my way around the forum.
Has anyone got advice or heard of the Omega program by Charlie Wright?.
The cost is £497 payable to canonbury publishing in the uk.
Apparently it mainly involves Gorilla Marketing, obtaining email lists, acting as a broker between people who have the information & people who want the information. I am keen to set up an income stream, but not sure how or where to start. So any:confused: information would be appreciated.

Wow that sounds like a hefty price tag. I generally don't trust things like that right off the bat unless I do my research on who's behind them. There are easier ways that also involve some of the things you mentioned (such as list building, hint, hint, the free report in my signature explains a very do-able method, especially for those who are new [or experienced]) without the costs that you're speaking of.

Whether you go with the "Omega" program, at least do these things:

    * Assess what niche you're in.

    * Create a report and start building a mailing list.

    * Find out how to treat your list, so that even when it is TINY, it can still be very profitable.

That's--in my humble opinion--the best, and easiest way to make money online whether you are BRAND NEW or experienced. Once again, more info in the report in my signature.

    Hope that helps!

      Hi Johnathan,
Yes it does seem a lot of money. I forgot to mention it stated part time hours for £15,000 to £25,000 for each business you set up through the program. It does seem too good to be true. Thank you for your advice.
As a newbie it is difficult knlwing where/how to start to get an income stream. I will take you up on your free report.
      Many Thanks
      Jim

Yeah I wouldn't go down that road of coughing up £497 unless your satisfied you will get something of value. Make sure you research any product before you buy it. Personally I would stay away from anything to do with bulk email lists as they simply do not work. You would be better off to build your own lists in different niches and then charge on a per email campaign basis.

Look at methods that work not methods that have to convince you its the next best thing. Sometimes it is just about applying your own twist to an already present and sustainable business model.

There are many ways to create income streams on the internet. You have made a great first move by joining this forum. Browse around, see what people are talking about and that might help you decide where you want to start.

Also check out the Warrior Special Offer section of the forum. There are many training programs offered by warrior members at a discounted price, so you should be able to get some good training at a significantly lower cost than the program you mentioned.

A good course is the insider secrets to marketing your business on the internet. (I AM NOT AN AFFILIATE) It is a good course and will get you started on the right track. It is also fairly priced.

I don't recommending spending 497 unless you can see examples of people actually having that pay off. There are way to many free things available.

If it seems too good to be true - it generally is.

I get tons of this stuff through the post and the sales blurb is very persuasive, but you can usually find something equivalent and lots cheaper, by doing a search online.

This forum is a great place to learn about Internet Marketing.

    Good Luck

      Hi,
I am so pleased to be getting all this advice from you all. Even though there is a money back guarantee on the omega program, the money still has to be laid out. I will do a lot of research befor I commit to anything.
      Many Thanks

        Jimmy,

There are a lot of other people out there willing to charge you WAY less to teach you a LOT more. I personally recommend my free videos and also a place called "Wordpress Goldmine". If you want to step out of the "sales funnel" and get into a classroom, then you'll really like that site. Sorry for sounding like a sales letter, but I believe in it!

Thank you for your advice which I will take note of & also take up your offer of your free videos etc

      Hi Makul,
Thanks for that. It sounds sensible to me. I must admit I had a few restless nights thinking about laying out £497.
      Many Thanks

    Hi Jimmy,

I've not heard of this course before, but I would say that you can definitely learn a lot of the basics for free in forums and websites without having to invest any money (or certainly not as much as £497).

You are doing the right thing by asking on the forum before purchasing - it pays to do a lot of research before buying a high ticket item like that.

    Cheers,
    Suzanne

    Hi Jimmy

Sometimes we learn the hard way. As Jon said do your research. Is there a guarentee/? I guess like anything on the internet you have to take action and give it a fair shot. Check out the business model. Does it involve picking up the phone ? is this a strength of yours?

You might be better with affliate marketing or building some simple niche sites that generate cash for you.

    Cheers

    Denise

    Hi Jimmy, there are problems I see with newbie marketers;

    1. Some refuse to buy any products
Unfortunately the best information is paid information, those not willing to pay to develop their skills will take 10 times as long to make decent money online than those paying to fast track their learning.

    2. Some buy every product
There is a tendency in many to chase every shiny object that is presented to them. My advise is find one mentor/method that resonates with you and stick with that until you have mastered it. If you attempt to follow multiple programs you will master none.

...and yes, post in here to ask members feedback before making a purchase. That's a smart move

I don't think you should spend that much money to get started... i'd suggest you look into cheaper and/or free products for now until you build up a little money.

once the money starts coming in from the new ventures you started(inspired by all the knowledge you gained through reading about internet marketing)... you should consider reinvesting about 10% of that income towards more information and training in Internet marketing.....

also, id recommend you spend at least an hour a day reading about internet marketing... become an expert!
