The best way to drive traffic to your website as quickly as possible is to use press release services. Here are some free ones:

You can drive some good targeted traffic to your site within minutes of submitting your press release.

One way would be to fix your sig file link.

I would say the quickest way to get traffic is from PPC but NOT google Adwords. There are a lot of 2nd tier search engines, like: miva, looksmart, 7search and more.

You pay very little per click and no review.

If you're looking for a free method then that would be effective forum marketing and article marketing if done correctly. But what free requires work.

You can use premium safelists, I know they get a bad rap but I have had tremendous success with them.

You could also use expired domain traffic, just make sure you have good tracking in place and your offer has a good general appeal.

YouTube has to be one of the fastest ways to get traffic...

Make sure to use plenty of keywords in your title, description, and tags. Also, place a strong call to action in the video itself.

Find high traffic blogs in your niche (ones that get a heap of comments to every blog post they write) and be the first to leave a comment. Use Comment Sniper (it's free) which will let you know when a post has been posted on those blogs. Make sure the comment is interesting enough that people will want to click through to your website.

Just for fun I wrote a list of all the suggestions:

I find one thing that works for me is staying focus on one traffic generation method at a time until you become good at it. Then you can move on to the next method, and build. Don't spread yourself too thinly.

The answer is twittter for me. You can set it up then start getting traffics immediately after few minutes. The conversion is also good but really depends on your offer. Many niches are not converting well in twitter.

If just traffic and you really dont care about conversions, try stumbleupon.

The fastest way I think is by utilizing your forum signature. So whatever niche you are in, find the forum of that niche and contribute a valuable post and put a signature.

It really depends on your niche. Use all above mentioned methods and advertise with a referral contest for a free gift or product (better with a high priced product)

I find facebook is a great way to get some traffic, If you post ads right. Articles marketing as well and the one and only youtube got love youtube...

Traffic from Web 2.0 like Squidoo, Hubpages is great source also. It can bring a lot traffic to your web site.

you need to mix it up! social bookmarking,video press release etc,

Submit answers yahoo, linkedin and other answering sites. It is quick, easy source.

There are no one method which satisfies you all requirements. Some thing is best but hard. Some thing is quick but less worth.

There're a lot of good answers here but it may distract you from focusing into one specific strategy.

I suggest you to invest in a proven traffic generating course that will teach you a system that can bring you quality traffic instead of some quick traffic with loads of NON-BUYING visitors.

Article marketing, press release,forum marketing and video marketing are powerful, but you need a traffic generating system (combination of 1 or 2 traffic generating techniques) that you need to follow everyday to ensure you receive good traffic.

Example:
Do keyword research for the niche market that you're targeting and:

1)Write 3 articles a day and submit at article directories.

2)Then write 2 press release and submit at a few good directories

3)Create 1 video and submit it at good video directories such as Youtube,Metacafe and Dailymotion

Note: Make sure you use your keywords on all those sites

Then take those submitted articles,video and press release and:

1)bookmark it at socialbookmarking sites.

2)start building backlinks for those links

This is what I call a system to follow everyday. You can either do it yourself or outsource the work.

This is just an example of a system. Like I said before, invest in a good traffic generating course that will teach you a system that you can easily follow. There're plenty of them available in WSO section.

Write an excellent article, allow reprint rights with a link back to your site and get a monster traffic site to reprint it.

Took one of our new sites from 100-200 uniques per day into the 3-4k range.

The fastest way to generate traffic is forums, yahoo answers and classifieds.

- PPC
- Guest post on blog related to your niche and that have a high traffic
- Forum Posting
- Blog commenting
- Press release
- Twitter
- Submit Articles
- Craigslist
- Submit video
- etc... etc...

I think one thing which is very important is to look at the resources you already have, such as:
- email List
- Facebook Account
- Twitter followers
- Reputation on forums

Obviously if you have any of those, you can use them to drive traffic. If you do not, I would highly suggest building them.

The other thing to keep in mind are your own skills and preferences. If you like being socially active, then social marketing and forums are the way to go... If you are more retiring, you might want to consider article marketing. ppc and suchlike.

Really, there is no one solution that will suit everybody.

I know this is not really an answer, but i would need to know more about you to give you a better one.

if you have a blog with daily updated content go for social bookmarking: digg, current, stumble can give you quite a good amount of traffic and fast!

There are many ways to generate traffic in a relatively short time, and for the most part, they are free. The ways I would recommend you start with are;

1 - Social Media
2 - Press Releases
3 - Free Classified Ads
4 - Blog/Forum participation

If you use a combination of these, you are certain to be getting some good traffic within weeks, or even days. The most important point however, is consistency of action. Don't expect to get a result with only a couple of ads/press releases/comments. Instead, commit to putting some time into one (or more) of these activities each and every day to generate as much traffic as possible. After a couple of weeks, you'll start to see some consistency in your results.

I am new in the warrior forum and running an online business. this is really great advice...."hijack traffic" real clever! great strategy.

These might not be the quickest but they work well for me:

1. organic traffic
2. email newsletter

These take time but well worth the effort.

My methods are:-
1.Video marketing
2,article marketing, and
3.press release
sometimes forum posting with your signature also helps.

posting is one of the possible way you can drive traffic or by email

For me, banner advertising is just good although it is costing

Article marketing is free and can be very effective if you do it right.

For targetted traffic, I would say PPC would be the way to go but you have to know how to do it right. Lots of stuff around this forum to help you get around.
