Twitter vs. Youtube ?

This should set a few people off :-)

I'm finding something interesting. In the new Social Networking box we have now under people's avatars I've realized the very first thing I click on is their YouTube link.

Not their Twitter link. In fact, I haven't clicked on a Twitter link yet. But I've clicked on every youtube link I've seen so far.

I'm not really going anywhere with this, just thought it was interesting..and mildly curious what icon would actually win on clicks overall...

    Interesting!...

For me, it would probably depend on who the warrior actually was.

(You never know, I might click on both!)

I've yet to set myself up on YouTube, but it's on the to-do list!

How about creating a poll Allen, even if it's just for a touch of fun?!

    Thanks

I think a poll might give bad results here. Most seemed to be into twitter. In a general population I'm fairly certain, no 100% certain, youtube would win..

Think it comes down to what method is gonna bring in most traffic for your time? Personally, i get more traffic from my youtube account than my twitter account. Both accounts are pretty new but youtube is a better medium for me to get traffic from, im a fan of twitter but it doesnt stand up to youtube.

Youtube is much more entertaining than twitter, therefore, i would click on a youtube link before a twitter link.

Honestly even though I use Twitter to make money, I'd probably check out their Youtube just as often if not more - Youtube is entertainment, if it's done right. Twitter is business.

Here in the WF I think I would mainly click
            on the twitter icon.
In forums of different niches it could be
            the opposite probably.

            cheers

To be brutally honest, until you brought it up Allen, I hadn't even noticed the social networking box under their avatar -- wow, now that's consumer blindness!

General population I believe would likely ignore both...even though I love both twitter and Youtube.

I have been looking at their Twitter accounts.I tend to waste a lot of time on YouTube so I try not to go to that site unless I'm uploading a video.

Which I do not even go there to upload videos anymore. I use a service to do that. So, I'm a little skewed because I purposely do not go to their YouTube accounts.

Dana, both sites are for business. In youtube, people can actually see you. In twitter it is the opposite.

I use both and am doing OK with both of them.

The social networking box is new, isn't it? Youtube, if I felt I could spare the time for yet another diversion. I've never been that drawn by Twitter (and I can hear the cries of 'oddball!' because of it already )

Youtube is my most visited site. I have a profile there setup too. So I think the answer is obvious

I haven't even created a Twitter profile for myself. Guess it is time to do one now!

I definitely get more traffic from YouTube, but then I spend more time with it, and I'm still pretty new to Twitter.

I think that YouTube is more popular with the general public, so it's probably more likely to bring in more traffic in general, but I don't meant to imply that I think Twitter is a slouch.
