Please help me with domain names.

I've found a good niche to go for. I want to buy a domain name with the three keywords in:

.co.uk
.com
.org
.net

Have been taken.

.biz
.uk.com
.tv

Are available, but I heard that these weren't any good.

Need some help guys...

I need it to be worldwide really.

The .net and .org rank in the top 10 without many links so i'm wondering whether the .biz will hold me back or whether I will beat them with more links?

It's your content that counts, not your TLD.

Yeah, I hear you. But all things being equal, domain name seems pretty important at the moment for niche sites.

Is the .com available using "-" between the words? that works.

Try using Domain Samaria, a free tool (unless you opt for domain face after the trail, but you do not have too) it comes up with good suggestions searching for only available names with whatever extension you specify.

domain name is very important in my experience
try using prefixes and suffixes as this can help. you really do want to bet getting that main keyword in as your domain.

Does having " - " between the words matter?

i have used _ - " between my words and it has worked fine in the rankings.
        another thing to consider is

        for example

(teethwhitening.com) if this was taken try (eteethwhitening.com) you are still getting the main keyword here

.com is what you want to be targeting it plays a big part in the rankings so play around and see what you can find.

          I had a project
(1 page website) and used a - domain in the .com extension
It was a keyword rich domain with less that 800,000 competing webpages

It never ranked not only not on page 1 but according to my SERP tools not in the top 1000
I am blaming the sandbox for it but I am highly angered by it

The hypens .com or .org will squash any of the .biz, .tv .etc's
TLD's make a huge difference you can still rank the others but .com
or .org will do it effortlessly compared.

Instead of adding an "e' to your domain add something that will add
value and increase the click through rate but still has your key phrase
in it. Because once you rank up there with the exact match domians
you still need to sell people to click on your ad instead of the other 19.

Use things at the front or back of key phrase like "best, pro, quality,
fast" Etc. If you want to get really picky use a word that sells the
click after your key phrase, it will give you a bit more SEO boost
having the key phrase at the front.

when it comes to domain names it really is so important to get that .com
agree with samuelj you really do need to be adding to the domain to ensure you get that all important .com as it does rank much easier

Yeah, I would advise you to maybe adapt your keywords in order to get that .com, it will help massively in rankings. I only deal in .com's now.

    Try:

    XXXX - XX.com
    XX - XXXX.com
    XX - XX - XX.xom

TV, and BIZ are better than the CC's (UK) etc.. unless you want more uk traffic. I have a few .uk's and Google really doesn't aknowledge me outside of UK listsings.

This is true if you are not expecting any type in traffic, or not worried about getting that extra bang for your buck by having some keywords somewhere in the domain.

Are you going for keywords, branding, or type in traffic? Or all 3? This can help you narrow down what extensions are acceptable.

You can also get a .org.uk ... that works well for SEO in the UK as well.

Any questions just let me know
