Even more JV manager questions...

Hello folks.
Questions about JV manager.

My product will have a "one time offer" to anyone that purchases the product.

I guess what I want to do is be able to have someone's affiliate id be valid for any product I have - as long as they are a customer.

The end result would be:

1) Anyone that buys the main product but NOT the oto and then wants to be an affiliate will earn sales they produce for the main product only. If the customers they send also buy the oto - they don't get credit for it because they have to be a customer of a product to be an active affiliate for it

2) Anyone that buys the main product but AND the oto and then wants to be an affiliate will earn on the main product sales they generate and any oto sales those customers make.

The goal is to NOT force people to create two affiliate IDs in order to earn on the main product and the oto - and at the same time not pay affiliates for an oto sale if they themselves are not customers of that product.

One catch...

I obviously want to set my JV partners up as affiliates on both - even though they may not be customers.

I want my JV partners to get a sweet deal here and make $$ on any sale they generate and any oto that those customers buy.


Ideally all of this would work on two tiers.

Scenario here is:
JV partner offers to his list.
Joe is on that list, buys the product, and the oto, and then becomes affiliate 1
Sue is on that list, buys the product, but NOT the oto, then becomes affiliate 2

The JV partner gets commission on two sales and two oto sales.

Now the affiliates start to work.

Joe sends a customer and he's eligible for commission on both the main product and the OTO - the JV partner may get a small tier two commission on those affiliate sales

Sue sends a customer and she's only eligible for commission on the main product - the JV partner may get a small tier two commission on the main product only - as only the main product would be an commissionable affiliate sale.



And of course all of this would need to work with several JV partners...



wow... does that make any sense?
If so - is that something JV manager can manage?

    hmmm looks interesting...
    but I don't see a distinction between affiliates and JV partners. So I'm not sure how I could have the JV partners getting paid on two tiers while affiliates get one.

    Also I'm still unclear on how it would accomplish the oto part.

    For being more $$ than JV manager I'd want to be sure of it's capabilities.

    I'll dig into this some more - but if anyone knows of any good documentation on this product please let me know.

    Also...
    anyone that can chime in on if/how JV mgr can pull this off - I'd love to hear from you.

      If you are talking about Fantasos then what you mentioned can be done.

      Users in Fantasos have only 1 ID and 1 account per email address.
      Then that account is loaded with "Roles" Affiliate groups.

      Same happens to Products.
      Various things can be "attached" to a Product.
      Roles, affiliate groups, etc.

      Say the main product is Product 1.
      Affiliate group for P1 is AFF.Group 1
      The OTO is Product 2.
      Affiliate group for P2 is AFF.Group 2

      The account of those that get Product 1 only
      is loaded with AFF.Group 1

      The account of those that get Product 1
      and Product 2 is loaded with AFF.Group 1
      AFF.Group 2 thus they get commissions
      for both product.

        So this would allow for a JV partner to get % on both products for level one - but only on any level 2 product that the affiliate that brought the customer is also eligible for?

        (and by the way - would need to support multiple JV partners.)

    Hi,

    I think John is selling himself short a little here :-)

    JVManager 2 can handle everything above plus more - including different commission levels based on a number of factors - i.e. bump the commissions up a few percent based on number of sales for instance - and drop them back down again if that target is not met - just to mention one possibility out of many.
