Need Tutorial on Setting up Instant Download Page

Hi, Fellow Warriors:

I've done a search but can't find anything that addresses my issue. I need to set up an instant download page for a report I want to sell via PayPal.

After I convert the Word document to a PDF file, what are the steps to deliver the PDF to the buyer as an instant download?

Any help, info or links that will give me guidance on how to set this up to work efficiently will be most appreciated.

    Hi,

    You just need to create a basic html webpage.

    On the page create a text link such as "Download here"

    Link the "Download Here" text to your pdf or zip file.

    save the webpage as thankyou.html or similar.

    Upload the new page and the pdf file to your website.

    Edit your paypal payment to point to the thankyou page
    after the customers purchase. http://www.yourdomain.com/thankyou.html

    You may want to consider the 7 Dollar Script as an option, or use Ejunkie. Both will protect your download from the search engines.

    Once you convert the report to a PDF, upload it to your website. Then when you create your paypal button, have it redirect to that "web address" of your report after a successful payment.

    There is no protection from people giving out the download link once they know it but this is a simple way to accomplish what you want.
