Can Anyone Recommend a Good WSO or Resource on Site Flipping?

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking of getting into the site flipping game recently and I was wondering if there's a good WSO out there or even just a website that would be a good resource to learn from.

I've read around the forums and I even read the All-in-One Site Flipping thread but I still have some questions.

I've been building my own sites from scratch for a few months now and I've gotten pretty good at SEO and increasing revenue on my own sites so that's not really the issue, my questions are more about how to find a good site to flip that has potential. There's tons of auctions going on at Flippa at any given time and it seems tough to weed through them all to see which are actually worth buying that can turn a profit for you.

If it makes any difference, my short term strategy is to go for quick flips that can make me a few hundred in profit per sale as opposed to buying and holding for the long-term. I know holding sites for the long-term has many benefits too but right now I want to just create a nice income from quick-flips so I have more money to play around with.

Any advice, WSOs, or other resources that could help me with this would be greatly appreciated.

    There are MANY WSOs about flipping in the WSO section.
    I suggest that you go through some of them and read through
    the sales copy to find the one goes in-depth in handling the
    main topic/areas that you want to learn, then get a few of
    such.

    Also, I think one of the most important ways to learn is to
    actually dig in and get started. Yes, studying from the right
    WSO will also help, but taking action will most certainly
    help as well because you will then be learning what works
    and what doesn't work, FIRSTHAND.

        The reviews do look really good for this WSO.

        However, it seems that this course is designed more for those that want to build their own sites from scratch and then flip them for a profit.

        I'm looking to buy sites that are already somewhat established, fix them up to increase traffic and revenue, and then sell them for a profit.

        Is that touched upon in there at all?

          lol ... guess it's time for me to step into the thread. It basically covers building them to flip but the exact same steps can and should be used for a fixer upper that you buy. I frequently buy ugly sites that look to me like they would have potential with some TLC and work on the templates and content to make the site more valuable. I've bought some sites very cheap that all they needed really was a better template. Not always that lucky, but they can be found.

          One thing that isn't covered in Flip Ace is that you can frequently buy a site that isn't officially listed for sale anywhere. I just made an offer on a site not too long ago via email and the owner was more than happy to sell it for a very reasonable price. Did a complete makeover on the site and now I'm concentrating on content, but just since I've had it, the site now has a matching Twitter acct with over 3,500 followers. Things like that really add value to a site.

          Adding a Facebook acct with followers also adds value and if you can give away something on the site to build a list, that adds more value.

          People on Flippa go ape over Adsense income but revenue of any kind also attracts attention so offering something for sale that converts is a big plus.

    I think just google it and you will get lots of blog related to the site flipping and it is really well worth of knowledge .

    You can go to the flippa and just click on the sold website tab and you will get ideas what kind of websites are selling , also check unsold tab on flippa . Its just give you some basic idea of site flipping . Not some advanced one .

    Not to be a party pooper or anything of that sort. I flip websites for a living, have made over 100k on Flippa/sitepoint in the past 8 months. To be quite honest, things are getting harder and harder everyday. I say if you aim to flip websites, make sure they are of quality, or be prepared to compete with hundreds of sellers selling exactly what you are. Good luck to you regardless! It is well worth the money, I promise.

      Yeah I know there's gotta be quite a few in the WSO section, but that's why I'm looking for someone who has actually bought and used one and liked it.

      Everyone is going to position their product as the best one so just reading the copy won't necessarily help me much.

      I agree about just digging in and getting started, but I do want to make sure I have a better understanding of what to do so I have less of a chance of losing money on my first deal.

      Yeah I hear the War Room is really good, just haven't gotten around to joining yet. Is there a lot of good stuff in there on flipping sites?

      I've heard that too, that it's getting harder to flip sites, but I don't plan on just throwing up a site with a few articles on it, no earnings, no rankings, etc. and trying to sell it like what was possible in the past.

      I assume (and I could be wrong) that if you have a good site that is making money, ranks well, has good traffic, etc. that there will almost always be a buyer for it.

      I've sold a site before on Flippa and I'm in the process of selling another one now (ends today actually), but these are sites I built up myself from scratch and got them making money first.

      So I'm not necessarily new to selling websites, but I'm looking to start buying and reselling sites for quick profits by increasing their earnings and traffic even more.

      From someone experienced like yourself, do you have a good resource you would recommend I check out?

      I just bought that course as well as Flip Ace. Already read through Flip Ace and there's definitely some good info in there.

      I'm about to start reading Killer Flipping Secrets now and tomorrow I'll start testing some of these strategies out.
