Well the aim of your blog might be get targeted traffic...i recommend you to offer on every page of your site or blog a free ebook to your subscribers...so they give you their email adress...a web form on every page of your site or blog because traffic may come from internal pages not only from your homepage...

Yes your aim always has to be build your list...because it will allow you to more profitable joint ventures..

the best autoresponders are aweber and getresponse...but i dont think they accept paypal ...not sure though...hope this helps

You can still post valuable contents to your blog while building your subscribers list at the same time. Write an article, submit it to other directories such as Ezine Articles, Articles Base, Article Dashboard, etc.. and once it has been approved, go ahead and post your article in your blog. Just add an opt-in form to your blog, offer something for free like an ebook, or an email mini-course like "Discover 7 ways how to make money online in 7 days", that's what you call list building while blogging.

Look in my signature for the first link. This landing page converts at a consistent 70-80% everyday.

I use a free video I picked up from Matt to grab subscribers on both the same optin page and on my blog as well.

Making money fast online. The fastest way I have found to build a subscriber list and mine mainly is through jv giveaways and doing adswaps. Adswaps being #1.

To build my first 2000 subscriber list took around 60 days. I have done it much quicker now around 20-30 days only because I leverage the list I have already created.

4) Which autoresponder you think is the best and accepts paypal as well? I want it to be very cheap.

Best autoresponder hands down is Aweber. $19 a month unless you have over 500 subscribers then it is around $10 for additional subscribers up to 2,500 and so on. You can see their pricing on their site.

Also, remember that every subscriber is worth $1-$2 on average.

By the way,

For paypal use either the paypal plugin to generate secure cards or use your paypal debit card. If you do not have a paypal debit card, just request one. It is simple just find it on the paypal site.

I have a squeeze page at How to Add 100 Fresh Leads to Your List Every Day which is a great converter. But I don't use it anymore as there is not a real up sell in it. you can download and use it if you want.

I build a list of just over 100 people in 30 days using safelists alone but these are usually not very responsive list that is why I change to different traffic sources

  There isn't an autoresponder that is the best AND also accepts
  PayPal - at the moment anyway.
  
  AWeber is widely regarded as the best third part autoresponder
  company (at a budget level) but does not currently accept PayPal.
  
  I wouldn't let the need to use PayPal dictate my choice of
  autoresponder company. It's too important a business decision.
  
  The autoresponder is an important investment and it's vital
  to get the best for your budget.
  
  (I used to use AWeber but am now using Infusionsoft - neither

  I think ImnicaMail accept Paypal, and they seem pretty reasonably priced compared to Aweber and Getresponse.

  Just checked my stats this opt in page converts anywhere from 35 -55% depending upon the subject.

  As Zeuss66 said I could tweak each one to death but once it is written and the percentage is good then why worry, plenty of other things to get right before you worry about making them better.
  
  Making my own products is what launched my list building, now got to get people to the opt-in pages
  
  Your blog confused me totally, I now understand that you are promoting Jeff Johnsons Traffic Voodooo, but gave up on that and started promoting Eben Pagan. I just cannot see how you fit into all of this as you do not appear anywhere on here apart from a one line quote, there is no way of knowing who actually is doing the writing on here.

You really must test squeeze pages. No way around it. Unless you're happy with whatever your conversion rate is now. If so, spend your time on other things in your business. I have a very very simple-looking squeeze page in my sig, and it converts at over 40%. Could it do better? Probably. At some point I'll test and tweak some more and get it up closer to 50%. But it can take a lot of patience and time. So pick your battles.

1) squeeze pages ... for me - simpler the better has worked. I have one at JP Maroney - $110K in 67-Minutes Video (also in my sig) that converts as high as 65% depending on who's mailing to it. And the whole thing is handwritten. Works like a champ.

2) People like videos as "carrots" ... special reports too. But... you gotta know WHAT your target market wants MOST. Give them that in almost any format and they'll break down your squeeze page trying to get it.

3) We built one of our list to almost 5000 in 48 hours with JV partners. We had about 15 guys mailing and a couple had pretty big lists. It can go MUCH slower than that depending on the methods you're using to drive traffic to the page. (and of course how well it's converting)

4) Ditto what was said about getting debit card for paypal -- that's a no brainer. Also gives you immediate access to any money in your paypal, not waiting days to transfer to your bank account.
