working on traffic before salespage is finished

Hi

Sales-page is still being finished.
Also got to work on other things like choosing an auto-responder and messages etc
and the product hasn't been uploaded yet.

Questions -

1/ Should i start writing building traffic before the sales-page is completed?

2 / And if yes, what is the best way to formulate a plan for traffic? e.g:are there more effective strategies depending on which niche you are in or is it just mass quantity, videos , articles, backlinks the lot, regardless of the niche?

3/Can someone tell me what niches video works best with and what niches articles works best with. And why? If at all.

4/ Is it possible to start writing articles and testing long tail keywords before the sales-page is even finished?

4/ At what stage does the split-testing come in? Is it after i've built enough traffic?


Please if you can, answer each of them individually, as in my mind they are all related somehow. Thanks, i appreciate it.

    I think it would be best to focus on one thing at a time when building your business. First get the sales page and sales funnel finished. If you send traffic to your website that leads them no where, you are just wasting your time. Splitting the activities usually leads to both being half as good and taking twice as long to finish.

    Finish Sales Funnel -----> Generate Traffic to Sales Funnel ------>Split Test to increase results

    It would be best to finish the salespage. If it's not done when your traffic comes, the potential customer may not see the thing that will clinch the sale. Also, it may look unprofessional to him/her.

    Hey i think you should set up a blog this is were you can get the traffic to go to before your product is finished you can do posts about it build it up you can get traffic from social media sites doing articles squidoo lens and from in forums get all this traffic to your blog build your product put your blog links in articles and your squidoo pages hope this helps

    Hello,

    I agree that unless you have a big list or affiliate network that you should get your sales page, payment plan, thank-you/download page and auto-responders first - verify it is all in place and working and then focus on traffic generation.

    Unless you have a team your working with or your are outsourcing most of the work then you can have work done at the same time.
