Are you looking for UK specifically? I am based in the UK and have used HostGator now for the best part of 3 years or so and had no issues what so ever.

A majority of websites will be viewed from the US in most niches, also you may want too bear in mind the host companies maybe UK based but where are their servers

Kind of depends what you're after Inter.

I can recommend united hosting, they are UK based and I have
a fully managed dedi with them, their support is off the scale good.

I've had a server with them for a decade I think, that tells you
something.

Not sure on cheap UK specific hosting.
