Article Marketing and Leveraging Great Content

Hey Everyone!

I'm currently writing an article (about 2500 words) that's going to go on a pretty big time site in my niche. It's turning out to be really good and I'm excited about it.

Here's the question: Can I post this article on my site as well? Or should I make it exclusive to their site? What kind of options do I have for leveraging what's going to turn out to be a very good (possibly viral) article?

I've been told that google penalizes for duplicate content. Is this going to be a problem if the article is only on two sites?

Thanks!

Adam

Duplicate content is only when you have two of the exact same articles on the same domain name. Are you getting to include links to your site in the article? If so, there's really no need to place it on your site as well, unless you just really want to.

That makes sense about being on the same domain...

Yeah, I am going to be able to include a link to my site. I just wanted to put it on my main site because it's turning out to be "flagship content" as that Problogger guy would call it..
