Can the Statcounter cookie interfere with the Affiliate Tracking Cookie?
I have a Clickbank blog with 4 products, all of which have had high conversions over the past 1 year (consistent organic sales).
So I decided to install the statcounter code late April to get better insights into keywords and visitor data with the intention of running a PPC campaign.
But since I've done that, my conversions have gone from 1 in 40 hops to a big, flat zero for all 4 products. (By the way, none of the products are in the MMO / IM niche)
Now, I'm not sure if statcounter has anything to do with this, but I'm seeing this inexplicable sales hit after installing their code over a month ago.
My question & concern is: Can the statcounter visitor tracking cookie interfere with the affiliate tracking cookie? I'm thinking of removing statcounter from my blog, so would like some experienced views on this situation before I do that.
