Hey guys,

So I've been promoting this product at Clickbank(non IM niche) and it has an extremely low gravity. The sales page's extremely powerful.

I've sent over 1000 visitors(500 presold through a video) and the rest through a direct link. And the traffic is targetted article traffic.

What i've found is... this site gets 1 order form impression count for every 3-4 visitors after sending thousand visitors. And as for sales, that's where the problem is.

the order form sale conversion rate is 1.96%. It means- out of 100 people who click on the order form button, only 1.96 buy.

Why's this so crazy?

I've gone over many thoughts. Maybe the price is too high($47). Most other products in this niche sell for $10 less. And why are they clicking on the order button and end up not paying.

If it was an IM niche, its totally understandable as an affiliate could be trying to reverse engineer my funnel. But no, this is too far away from the IM niches not even close to money making or anything related to that.

Why does this happen?

What's your horrible order form impression to submit conversion ratio?

And what's your best?

If so, what sort of niches were in. IM or non IM.

Thanks...

I have similar experience in one of my product. Lot of Order form impressions, but very low conversion.
Then I tried a different technique; installed a script to split test the salespage with 2 different order buttons. One with clickbank button and the other with Paypal. After 10 days continuous testing, I found that paypal converts much better. But the product is IM related.

Did u sell it via paypal(meaning paypal collected commissions or clickbank)? What i'm thinking is clickbank is the one that's the problem. Remove all clickbank completely and use paypal merchant thingy. If you can report back on conversions, I'd appreciate it coz I'm losing a lot despite of my efforts.

So the sales page, altogether, yields a total conversion ratio of 1.96% divided by 3 or 4, which equals to somewhere between 0.50% and 0.66%.

That's a pretty standard conversion rate for the average Clickbank product actually. It's not too bad at all. Don't believe the non sense floating around the forums: a 0.50% conversion rate is pretty normal.

That's a typical conversion on most products on article traffic. What you need to do now is to focus on getting more traffic to ramp up your sales since you have some numbers to work with.

I used the same version of sales page with 2 different order buttons/links. In one page, I placed Paypal's Buy Now button and in the other, Clickbank Order link. Over 70% of the orders were coming from Paypal. In the 30% Clickbank sales, half of the purchases were using paypal instead of Credit card. One thing I want to remind that the product was IM related. Since, most of the IMers are using paypal regularly, the result my be different in other niches.

Yes, Clickbank has a problem: If the buyer is placing an order from a very far place (from his billing address), his credit card orders will be declined. The buyer should place credit card orders from his own state/country. My orders have declined many times when I try to place credit card orders from overseas (Singapore, Malaysia & HongKong). But clickbank works fine if I choose to pay by paypal from anywhere. I am interested to know whether any warrior have this experience?

So I send up to 400 customers to just one of the affiliate sales pages through my site and only about 1 in 400 buys, making 1 sale a week on a 30 page site with unique content. From what you are saying it is normal for Clickbank related products.

At times I feel like converting all my articles (about 100) that I wrote myself into an ebook and give it away for free and just include some links in the book.

I would not be concerned as to the number of order form impressions - it is irrelevant. Many people will click through to the order form just as a quick way to see the total price they have to pay or to see what they would have to do if they were to proceed - just out of curiosity.

The only stat you need be concerned about is the number of sales compared to the number of visitors. That's all that matters and that is all you need to work on improving.

Yes, the Clickbank order form does suck however they are working on improving that. Being able to add your own header and select the colors on the page is already being tested and will probably be released to others later this year.

Put an opt-in lead capture page with a "missed sale" auto-responder between your sales page and the order page.

you will get crazy opt ins and double your conversions with the remailings

then when they purchase have them opt in again on the thank you page to get onto your customer list and use "automation" in your auto responder to remove them from the "missed sale" list

It works......you can send me a check later...
