Ezinearticles question

I posted an article to ezinearticles back in June. It received 197 views, 67 url clicks and 20 sales. Is that normal? The article has pretty much died now.

I have a few other articles that arent doing that well. I've gotten 230 views, 60 url clicks and 1 sale on one of my articles.

What's normal?

    No, it's not normal. That's incredible.

    From what I hear, most marketers like to use 1 sale/100 views as "normal" (so even the second article you mentioned is a good deal). Not sure what exactly it's based on. But having 30% of the people who saw the landing page buy is damn good.

      And I do not think anyone can accurately say what is "normal"

    I just used a simple blog on blogger. I didn't think much of it. One article submitted to ezinearticles and blogger and I got a lot of sales but I haven't been able to duplicate that. I don't know what happened or why that particular product/article was so successful.

    I don't think there is a "normal" that we all can base this stuff on.

    Your views and CTR is certainly not unusual. As for the sales...I
    would say that IS unusual, but I don't know the details.

    I just dont know what I did to generate that many sales. It was a normal article. I havent come close to duplicating that. I don't think I will ever be able to do that again.

    I would say that the views are a bit low for an article published in June but the CTR looks good and the sales rate is fantastic.

    Was the product you sold cyclic in nature or a hot item at one point that has since died down? If it still has selling potential then try focusing on more articles that are crafted better (meaning ideal title and content). Your resource box appears to be doing its job.

    Interesting.............you clearly had tapped a targeted market that showed up to the site in a buying mode.

    Anytime you can get 1 sale from a single article I think it's a success especially depending on how much the sale put in your pocket. What you might consider doing is picking one of the new products such as Secret Affiliate Code 2 and see if you can replicate your previous success.

    It's possible that the guru's were sending a lot of traffic to it and the overflow (people looking for reviews or more info) found your article in the search engines. That would explain a spike in activity.
