Need Help on a Project

Hi guys, I need some help. I am currently working on a project and I want to know what are the best strategies or what could be the quickest ways to rank up a site in 2 months? There are a lot of strategies I have read on the net and in forums too like Off-page and onpage optimization tips. But of all those techniques I want to know which are the best methods to use and to focus on especially with a new domain like mine.. Thanks a lot for the help and inputs!

    You need to read up on 'SEO' on google. There are excellent sources out there.

    There are a lot of threads in this forum that discuss the best methods so I wont repeat them all but basically -
    1/ Ensure you have fresh new content
    2/ Build backlinks and lots of incoming links
    3/ Ensure your Meta tags are good

    Most of all, dont try and scam the search engines. If you do, they will penalize you and push you down.

    Thanks for the input. I was thinking of article submission, blog commenting, forum posting, directory submission and social networking... Of the five which is the most powerful and why? thanks!
