I submit article to ezine article and I get traffic after they are reviewed. I wanted to try to submit to a few others so I picked articlebase. I have submitted like 10 article and it doesn't seem to be getting any traffic from there? Has anyone experience the same problems?

the game has changed a long time ago. You can no longer just submit and article and expect to get a ton of views. You will have to promote the article itself..

Backlink, Backlinks, Backlinks. Social media is also a good way to get more traffic to your article but it is much harder to sell to that crowd.

But I hope you get the idea

I must agree with that, I have used Articlebase for some time now and I have noticed that even with moderate link building to the articles can make a such a big difference.

Yes, the game has indeed changed. You must promote your articles at all times. A few of the techniques I use include tweeting, press releases, Digg, Blogging and RSS feeds. Promote, promote, promote!

I usually write different articles for the directories but just to see I put the same article on ezine and the same article on articlebase, I got traffic from ezine but not articlebase.

I have been promoting the articles with social bookmarking sites like delicious. Maybe ezine brings the traffic in a different way the articlebase does.

So would the consensus be to write one very good article and concentrate on let's say 20 back links as opposed to writing maybe 4 articles and only giving 5 back links each?

      What's everyones opinion on this?

Are your articles getting viewed, but it's not turning into clicks? (The article stats on Articles Base will tell you how many people have looked at each article)

If people just aren't viewing your articles, the problem could be due to several things - you're not targeting the right keywords, your keyword density isn't high enough and, therefore, people aren't finding your article (keyword density should be 2-4% for your target keywords), your title isn't very compelling (and people don't want to click on it) etc.

If you've got article views, but no traffic from it - are your articles good enough for people to stick around until the end and get to your resource box? It may sound harsh, but it's a question you need to ask yourself and answer honestly. Are you providing solid facts and unique content? Are people coming away from your articles feeling like they learned something new? Do you have spelling and grammar mistakes that are hurting your credibility?

ArticlesBase is a suuuuper strong domain. Stronger than Ezine in my experience (less spammed??)

Pick high volume keywords and use the authority ArticlesBase has to get on the first page.

Yeah, I always thought EZA was overrated...
But both are really good in Google's eyes.

Do your results come like right away or does it take a few months? Ezine seems to come right away unless articlebase just takes a while.

FYI , I submitted an article to Hubpages about an hour ago and recieved 4 views already. Does this help?

With my own stuff, I've noticed that some topics just do better on certain directories, for some reason. For example, on some directories, my SEO articles get tons of views but my article marketing articles don't. But on other directories, it's the exact opposite. I'll look at the stats and tailor my submissions to each directory, and what's been successful for me there.

Maybe you should try a different topic (still related to your niche, of course) on Articles Base, and see if that makes a difference.

I tell you something, articles are good, but I would recommend using hubpages and squidoo, they still rank high for traffic, and there very easy to do....

Yes it is good to make use of all the properties available to us. Why use one and get one listing on google when we can get 3 or more on the front page?

My Articlesbase submissions are getting indexed super fast. However, none have made it to Google first page without mass promotion of the articles.

I usually submit the EXACT same article to ArticlesBase after I get it approved at Ezine. I've pulled in almost as many views as my articles at Ezine from the exact same article. And yes, I get plenty of click throughs, too

But yeah - Out of all of the other directories I submit content to after approval at Ezine, ArticlesBase takes the cake by actually producing traffic from articles I've already submitted to Ezine. Nothing wrong with some extra free traffic with barely any more work than copy/pasting my articles!

I usually don't have a problem getting on the first page with Articlebase but the articles still seem to lack the views that Ezine gets.

Try SEO optimizing the articles some more.

Usually when I put up an article it hits several top 10 first page Google listings within 18 hours. I can't complain about the traffic such listings bring :p

ArticlesBase is using "no follow", however this article directory is great for both direct traffic and bum marketing purposes.

1.) The King = Articles to my Blog(s).

2.) The Queen = Articles to EZA and then the articles that have done well (sales, CTR, views, etc.) to ArticlesBase.

3.) Pawns = Same articles to secondary article directories and web 2.0 (hub pages, etc.) linking to my lander and the ArticlesBase article.

Bottom line: By doing that formula above I get some nice instant sales from EZA and I'm able to determine which articles are worth putting extra work into (EZA has great stat checking abilities). Then by putting the article on ArticlesBase and providing backlinks to it with the Pawns plus doing some bookmarking, I've managed to get close to 141,000 views with 745 articles (average of 189 views per article)... so in other words, I'm ranking pretty well in the search engines with my AB articles.
