Hi,

I've been posting to craigslist for some time now, but
the last two times I posted someone from craigslist has
added a nofollow to my links so that the search engines
stay away.

Is this happening to everyone or is it just my posts for
some reason?

I've always counted on the links in my ads as back links
for the search engines because they do normally get
counted by Google as a link to my site.

I just found out when I went to renew a link that my
ad link had this added nofollow into my html code and
I didn't put it there and also removed it when I seen
it there but then found it again when I went to renew
again.

Anybody know whats up with this?

Thanks!
Lamar

start learning other methods of promotion.

CL takes a lot of energy to spam effectively - since
I respect the cL community I don't teach it or do it...
but if CL is the only way you know to get backlinks
or Traffic you are swimming up-river.

I have to agree with malibumentor. The days of spamming Cl are over. They have established verfied phone accounts and are rolling out a daily posting limits.
Right now here in southern NV you can only post about 5 times a day . This new policy will be rolled out all over the CL network soon.

What on earth does someone putting Nofollow into my link
have to do with my spamming or not spamming?

Wouldn't they just stop me from posting. Sometimes they
stop one of my links and I don't have a clue why and they
don't say. They just say something like it may be because
of this or it may be because of this but never why.

Are you telling me its because they think I'm spamming
    them?

    Whats craigslist for?

I guess I gave you the idea I use craigslist for nothing but
backlinks but I don't have but a few craig listings and I only
have 2 domains and 1 subdomain and am not using craigslist
to get backlinks. But it sure was nice to know that one listing
with craigs list could get a website indexed really fast with
the search engines. But I guess thats no longer possable.

      Thanks

I'm going to remove my ads from craigs in a couple
months anyway because its time to renew my domains
and hosting and I've decided I'm not going to.

I was just trying to sell stuff using craigslist and I
have never sold a thing through craigslist. I make
handmade knives and a couple E-books for sale.

I may still try to sell knives with craigslist though.
