WordPress Problems and HTML Source Code?

Hey everybody, have you guys ever noticed that whenever you use apostrophe's, such as:

they're = they are
we're = we are
it's = it is

(i.e: notice the apostrophe/' symbol)

...that weird character's will appear in your HTML source code (or "view source")? For instance, when you click on "view source", you may notice that whenever the words "you're" (if you have them in your posts) will turn into this:

you&8217;re

Also, whenever I use "quotation marks" in my WordPress article, everything will look fine from my (and the reader's) point-of-view, but if you see what the source code looks like, it will be this garbled mess right here:

for example&#8221

To test to see if these problem's were my mistake, instead of copying/pasting from both Word/Notepad, I re-typed my sentences (that had apostrophes/quotation marks) in the WordPress editor, first in the "visual/WYSIWYG" mode, and then in the "HTML" mode...and I still had the same problem when I updated the posting.

I think this problem is inherent in WordPress, because when I'm in the editor mode (before posting), the characters, apostrophes, and quotation marks look normal/regular, but after posting and seeing what it looks like on the actual WordPress page, things look different.

Furthermore, this is how my quotation marks will look like in editing mode:

"quotation marks" (right way)

...but when I post the final draft to see how the post will really look, this is how it looks:

“quotation marks” (wrong way: notice the slight curving of the quotation marks)

And the apostrophe's will end up displayed as this:

"you’d" (the apostrophe is irregular)

instead of this:

"you'd" (the proper/right way it's supposed to be)

So, as you guys can see, because of the way WordPress "corrects" and "fixes" things, this may be the cause of errors in the HTML source coding of our posts/articles. Who knows, this may even make it slightly harder to rank where we want (because of small error's in the source code)

Hopefully, some of you guys can check this out for yourself (on your WP blogs) to see if I'm right in my analysis...
