YOUTUBE VS. EZINEARTICLES

YOUTUBE VS. EZINEARTICLES

If you were an IM and you could only market using either Youtube or EzineArticles....

Which one would you use?
And which one would win the SEO BATTLE?

Ezinearticles and Youtube will both die in the SEO Battle.

When you talk about massive articles... I'd choose both. Youtube will have more power in the long run when compared to EZA. EZA's all about the short term now.

They personally don't have ranking power until and unless they adopt a different method of promotion for their articles. EZA MUST PROMOTE THE AUTHOR"S ARTICLES.

If they do that, they will be ranking high like crazy. No site on the planet would be able to beat 'em. But they don't do that. That's their whole big problem. and so they are losing the battle.

If you have lots of articles and lots of videos for one particular niche, you can expect tons of traffic to your site. because the chances of people finding your article or video is more. from low competition low search terms.

    50 articles - useless
50000 articles - each article gets one view a day(because of different terms and stuff). at 20% ctr - 10000 visitors daily.

50 videos - almost okay but not enough.
50000 videos - each video gets 10 vews a day(possible because of the traffic youtube gets daily and if you diversify your tagging and keywords, your videos will always be found even if they aren't searching for it)... 500K views a day and 10% ctr gets you 50,000 visitors daily.

THE KEY IS IN MORE QUANTITY WITH QUALITY.

      Youtube hands down...

Youtube crush's it for SEO and will almost rank with out any backlinks to your videos. Video has a much higher perceived value than articles these days and youtube is also the #2 search engine in the world right now too.

submitting a video is far easier than writing a minimum 250 word articles anyway, there really is not any match.

An added benefit to Youtube is if you have enough views, you can earn a substantial income from partner ads.

Beware: YouTube can shut you and your channel down with a bogus terms of service violation for any reason. There is no easy way to appeal their decisions either.

If I HAVE to choose (I love using both!), I think I might have to say YouTube. While EZA is a bread-and-butter site for good traffic for years now, YouTube has more upside potential. If your videos are good and you send traffic from them to the right kind of landing page (hint: squeeze pages with closely related offers), the conversions can be wicked high. I think it's the fact that you reach your potential subscribers through two senses (sight and hearing) vs. just one with EZA (sight). It's more personal, in that sense. I think videos simply provide a better way to connect with other people at a deeper level, which works for us as marketers because it pre-sells better than the written word. Not always, of course, but I think it can be a significant advantage in some niches.

    Depends on your market.

If your messgae is teaching people how they can make millions through ONLY article marketing then the answer is obvious.

Hm.. I cast my vote for youtube but I don't agree with everything said so far...

While going for quantity is a fine strategy, I prefer going for high quality. In which case, a high quality video will take longer than a high quality article to make.

I agree with the fact that for most markets, video tends to connect with the audience better though.

Also.. there's just more stuff you could do with youtube....

I always find article writing a mile easier than making a good video. Making an ordinary video is a 5-minute job and submitting that to Youtube is a couple of minutes. Writing a 250-word good article is 6-8 minutes and submitting to EZA is around 2 minutes too. Since I am comparing good articles with ordinary videos, I would go for an article in my case. But yes, if one can make a good video quickly, then both the direct traction and probably the SEO traction received from Youtube may beat EZA.

        Well fedjones,

This is a good point... it sounds like article marketing is working for you and comes easy to you so I would not give that up then, but what you can do is take your articles and turn them into video.

just do a powerpoint with slides in open office or in Microsoft office and record them with you narrating put in a call to action and now you got a video to upload.

matter a fact I want you to take that same article you submitted at ezine and do a case study submit a video of your article to youtube and your article to ezine with the same exact title.

send the same exact backlinks to each one and see which one does better in the search engines and which one gets indexed quicker...

With Our EZ article (and any for that matter) cant we just add the you tube video link (in anchor text) in teh resource box of the article? So that way we rank for the article and send traffic to you tube to come back to the money site!

Long term I personally believe you tube is stronger. Google loves you tube..and it indexes them even years later. I think they defeat ezine

Investing in document management services is a smart move for any type of business. It ensures that documents are handled in the correct manner and that your documents will be safe when using certain document destruction services, like secure destruction.

Interesting to find all of these responses.

I find that both are great, but personally I've found ezine a lot better.

SEO wise, youtube wins hands down.

But nothing beats ezine for good fast traffic.

I actually have a goal, I'm writing 10 ezine articles and uploading 10 videos to youtube a day for the next 4 months.

Maybe by the end of that period i'll be able to tell you more

I love You Tube, however the answer is depends on your market.

You really need test both and findout which generates the most traffic and use that one. It is not about preference or favorites, its about results.

mmmm thats a tough one. But at this point I would go with Ezine because I am much better at writing articles then creating videos.

Both are obviously a good idea, but Youtube would probably win - a video's better than an article (people have been addicted to TV for quite some time now).

Video Marketing with Youtube when done correctly, can far surpass the power of Article Marketing.

Videos on Youtube can easily get viral which is not the case with ezine articles.
We can also communicate far more better through video rather than with articles. My personal preference is Youtube.

Can you monetize your ezine articles?

Can you monetize your youtube videos? Yes you can.

Does google favor ezine in search results?

Does google have a whole page dedicated to ezine articles? Like what it does with the google video search? If you do a search in google, and click the video link at the top of the page - the majority of the results will be youtube.

Can you embed the enzine articles in forums and blogs? And then use that embedded article to make money?

As a youtube partner, the more times your video is embedded in external sites - the more money you can make. Do that with an ezine article.

Google owns youtube - and because of that youtube will always have a special ranking. Keep in mind that google has a financial interest in promoting youtube.

Youtube hands down!! People that I know spend time on youtube for information and entertainment. The only people I know that are excited about ezine articles are those making money in IM.

Hands Down youtube... it is the 2nd most traffic-ed site on the internet. I would much rather watch a vid than read an article. And like everyone above said... the perceived value is much higher.

It is obvious that EZA is a better tool to run a successful campaign. You see, with video marketing, you can gain huge traffic but you can't gain any backlinks to your sites.
But by publishing articles on EZA, you can get as many as backlinks, which is helpful to gain success with your SEO strategy.

I dont know about that. My You Tube videos almost everyday get picked up by other websites for content. Not all have links, but many do.
