California Affiliate Nexus Tax To Be Looked At Again

Warriors,

Affiliate Nexus Tax is here to haunt us affiliate marketers again. If this was to pass in California it will harm small businesses like mine and others.

Performance Marketing Association| Legislation

I'd love to hear how other affiliate marketers in other states where this bill was approved bypassed this problem..

California's in so much debt that they'll pass all kinds of bs legislations to get money.

California looks like not a good venue for small businesses like us. I haven't heard of that bill yet in PA.

Last year the state issued quite a few I Owe U's for people's tax returns. Maybe this year when it comes to taxes I'll write them an I Owe U!

        Cheers

This bill has been passed in New York, Rhode Island (which plans to get rid of the bill) and another state that I happened to blank out on just now.

If you live in California you'll know that the bill passed because companies like Amazon will begin dropping you as an affiliate immediately.

I'm very confident that this bill will not pass, but it is scary...

It is scary, I see Megg Whitman I think her name is, is running for governor. She used to be the CEO of Ebay. If she gets in office I think it will help us affiliates but then again I am not too sure about her ability to help CA as a whole either.

            Cheers

I've just heard that the hearing for this is tomorrow.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this doesn't pass...
