Hostgator Help Needed

I am trying to sign up for hostgator and when I click signup they ask if I want to register a new domain so I click yes and I then register my domain I got from go daddy. Then it takes me to a page where they try and sell me the .net and .org version of my domain name where I click no and then it gives me an error page saying I need to go back and choose a domain. Do you have to buy a domain through hostgator to use their hosting service?

          THIS...

You're simply clicking the wrong button, you already have your domain so you don't want to select the option to register a new one.

FYI, Hostgator simply run an reseller account with ENOM, and their backend is awful, I advise simply registering a domain with a registratr like Godadday, not using Hostgators solution.

Alexa's right - you don't want to register a new domain because you've already got one.

There is usually about 3 options. You want to click on "use my existing domain" or some words like that.
