Hi Warriors!

Just opened up my gmail a while back and I saw something sharp and shiny from Google..

Gmail's priority inbox It's cool! Kinda great for someone like me who's got about 8k unread emails in my inbox and receives more than a hundred per day.

Try it

All the best,

Is google ever going to add this new stuff to Google Apps? I use apps and I haven't seen any of these new 'fancay' inventions.

Boy, this is going to take a while for me to train gmail what is important and what isn't.

It just pulled to the top of the pile 3 emails from 2009 and 1 from 2008?!?!?!

I guess it is telling me I need to finally getting around to responding to those.

So, if you have been waiting a VERRRRY long time for me to respond to an email from you, then this google priority inbox is going to be a good thing.

Sounds good. I think it'll really be an advantage especially to those getting thousands of email. This is the reason why Google is really good!

I guess they are rolling this out in stages. Haven't received mine yet. I've been looking for it. It was even on the news this morning.

I saw it today but did not click on it. So I take it that it's useful.

I've been using Gmail's Priority Inbox feature since last couple
of days and I'm loving it. It pretty much sorts out all of those
emails that are important to me.

The best thing I like about it was that it simple separates out
all the sales mail, making it much easier for me to label them
    and move to another folder.

    No way I'll use it.

I don't see how it helps anyway. I receive about 50 to 100 emails per day.

Most I don't need and don't open. I scan all the subject lines.

Don't you still scan all the subject lines? Because relying on this tool could lead to more missed emails, for me at least.
It's still in beta so expect some problems. You can always click
on the "Inbox" menu option to go back to the standard inbox.

How do we know if we got the priority inbox feature?

I can't seem to find it anywhere on my screen... maybe I don't have it yet.

But would anyone who has it care to share exactly where it's located? Like the left-side panel or something?

Initially it's a yellow link on the top right side that says priority inbox if I remember it right.

It gives an initial recommendation of what should be in the priority inbox once you accept it, I agree the initial recommendation is awful. So don't approve it and instead add your own.

The priority inbox link will then show up on the left side, on top of your inbox link.

You'll still get both options/links so you can always go back to using the normal settings if you don't like the priority inbox settings.

So far I like what I'm seeing.

I myself will just leave an email that receiving to many emails then simply create a new email account. I don't need gmail's priority inbox.
