Need to place an image on a website to email..........

Hey guys,

I am making a sample of a product that I want to sell to local businesses (with websites,) but, many websites don't have an email address on there. Because of the nature of the product, it's not really anything I need to call or mail about.

Is there a way that I could simply make a sample, upload it to a specific website (specific to that one image,) and then, email that link to the person controlling the website?

    Jeremy,

Not sure I'm following you exactly, but here's a shot at it...

If you're trying to show a demo of something, you can upload it to your own web site, and put it on a page called something like clientx.html. For the second client, call the page client2.html (replace clientx with the client's name, like bigcompany.html)

If you're trying to show an improvement to their web site, you can screen shot it and the edit the screen shot, put that out on your web site and show them the link to that.

    Hope it helps.

Jeremy, do you have the sample saved as a jpeg or png?

If so, you just attach the jpeg or png to an email, then send it.

If it is a sample of a web page, you will need a website. Do any of your friends have websites onto which you could have them upload your sample?

It is a photo sample that I can send as a .PDF or a .JPG. The only contact is a form on the website - with no ability to attach/upload.

OK, so what you can do is try this...

use the contact form on the web site, ask them for the appropriate person to reach out to. Get that email address and send them the image.

You'll get fairly low mileage IMHO... I would guess that lots of folks wouldn't reply to the original request - be courteous, sort of a "I don't want to bother you, I'm just trying to find the right person to speak with."

If you don't have your own site, you can set one up with low cost hosting (many people here recommend hostgator). You could also setup a blogger blog or a wordpress.org blog. Use caution with the free sites like this - they can squash you at will and pull your site offline if they decide they don't like it (actually, if they think it's too commercial or it doesn't meet their terms of service)
