Ok, so I was training a new employee on research, using the most popular dog training niche as an example (I know, cliché

) and I almost fell off my chair when I saw this abomination popup in my list of expired domains:

dogsandkatdogtrainingbehaviorcounselingseespoteata doggiebakery.com

.....
What?

...
Let's try and read that again...
dogsandkatdogtrainingbehaviorcounselingseespoteata doggiebakery.com

How in hell could someone ever think registering that domain would be a good idea?
Is there some cryptic meaning or occult strategy at work here that I'm missing?

I was really bummed to see that that domain was already taken. Since I have no doubt that the .net and .org extensions are already gone, am currently checking to see if the .info is still available.

Don't worry if the .com is gone...you can always use this:

Hey guys, just a thought.

This could be a great idea for a novelty site.

funniestdomainnames.com

On the site you have all these ridiculously long domain names with a story
behind each one.

Ask visitors to submit their own ideas and stories.

You could probably monetize it with Adsense and CPA stuff.

Just a thought.

Maybe the guy thought keyword stuffing pertained to domain names too? Kind of weird that he used "kat" instead of "cat", though.

You see all kinds of weirdness in the expired domains lists. I honestly don't know WHAT people were thinking when they registered some of them.

I had a long domain name for a niche I was working in (although nowhere near as long as the example above). I went to set up an adwords campaign and it wouldn't fit in the space provided. Can't remember all the details now because it was a long time ago, but after that I vowed to keep my DN's short and to the point.

That' s nothing more than another marketing contraption........

Usually, People get inquisitiveness with these kinds of batty domains and visit them to check it with a mind as "what a ....... is this"

And, I haven't seen any respectful marketer with these kinds of domains.

They are definitely stuffing keywords. Keywords in your domain will help boost your rankings for whatever you are being relevant for, but search engines are extremely sophisticated and complex programs that are designed to know when they are being cheated.
