3 Super Awesome Article Marketing Tips

Article marketing is an awesome method of generating a ton of free traffic. I use it as my primary source and write for clicks and can tell you it works!

If you are just gettig going and/or are interested in improving your article marketing check out these 3 tips

1) Major Benefit Title - include your MAJOR benefit in your title. You need to slap people around the face and grab their attention.

2) Brief Body - Keep all unnecessary waffle out of your articles. Focus on your MAJOR benefit ... but leave the information incomplete in order to get your reader to click through

3) Super Resource Box - Work your resource box hard. Use formatting such as bold and underline plus include a link to an offer.

Good points, I find it a bit tougher to write small amounts of fluff, because of the fact I want to write at least 400 words in order to get in the "most viewed" section.

It was easier when all you needed was 250 words! But I agree, writing for clicks is a great way to make some good cash.

Also, another good technique I use especially with ezinearticles is to have a profile picture. This gets placed usually in the bottom right corner of my article. I then make sure that exactly next to the picture is my link.

On the whole page full of text...the image is like an eye magnet so readers cannot help and look...and guess what's the immediate next thing they see after looking at the picture?...you got it...my link

This little trick gives me great CTR rates...usually around 20% but sometimes even as high as 80%.
I've had an article once with more than 5000 views and a 60% CTR...that was crazy

    What about the keyword research?

What good is an article if nobody finds it?

      Hi Amy

Absolutely on point here ... good keyword research is the foundation of a great article as far as I am concerned.

    yeah i like the " slap people around the face" thing...lol but seriously article marketing really works with those who have the stomach to wait that long.{4-5 months}
the title and the resource box are to me the most powerful area to concentrate when trying to write a compelling article.

Great points. I think that a lot of people forget how incredibly important the headline is. It needs to be very clickable for people to have enough interest to press their little mouse button. Then, you first paragraph must reel them in and make them salivate for more information. Then, the resource box needs to leave them hanging a bit so they want to click through.

Don't neglect the importance of having to sniff out the best keywords as well ... I just checked my stats and have a site I struggle to budge from page 2 to position 2. Yet I built an article around my target keyword and it is at number 1 on page 1 already, simply because EZA has such authority!
