How many warriors own iphones?

Im developing a application to be launched next year and im investing 10's of thousands in this.

Was curious to know whether i should get a iPhone application or blackberry application developed to aid the online version. - Free of course.

    Hi Devan,

I may be the only person on the planet who doesn't have a cell phone.

My phone is plugged solidly into the wall and I have to actually sit down, relax,
and give my undivided attention to the person I'm speaking with.

That's probably pretty strange these days but I kinda like it that way.

      Hi Devan

      I answered the poll.

Much as I would like an iPhone, only O2 offer them in the UK and I'm a Vodafone man myself.

      Cheers,

    I got an old iphone.
I need the 3g one or the new blackberry bold.

I hate typing on my screen but besides that, working with the screen is amazing.

I have sprint, so they are sort of behind in the whole cell phone battle.

The new blackberrys that are coming out for verizon look amazing though.

You know, I'm a big time mac person, and I just happen to be on ATT only because I had cingular which just transferred over.

I thought about getting the Iphone, and then I realized I have a sprint high speed broadband card. What does this mean?

Well, I realize it is a bit bigger to carry a laptop around, but my web access kicks ass over just the iphone.

I was lucky enough to get in on a sprint plan with the HSBB and I have unlimited upload and download. In addition, If I really wanted to save more on my phone plan with att I could always get a magicjack and for 20 bucks for the year.

Lynn, I have to tell you I still own a rotary phone

But to finally answer your question, I would probably advise making an app for the blackberry. Why? I personally think at this time you will cover a much larger market - more affordable with the economy etc. For a long term investment consider an iphone app.

      Kooky theory, but honest.

It really depends, is the app more personal or business? Mac is personal - BB is business.

New iPhone - love it. I travel a LOT and it's like being connected to my office - it lets me leave the office and still take care of clients - it's terrific.

The wide variety of apps are the greatest feature though ;-)

If email is really important to you then BlackBerry is the way to go. If you care more about screen real estate and being able to do more web surfing, then iPhone is the way to go.

My view is that websurfing is just not "great" on any phone ... and the Berry has amazing email capabilities, it is rock solid. I'm on a Bold.

I'm on the old iPhone. I love it, but I'm not a fan of AT&T.

I have a 3g iphone but typically only use it for email and websurfing while I am out.
I rarely talk on it, I am with Lynn here, I only talk on a phone plugged into the wall despite having 6 cordless phones. I guess it isnt that old school as it is a voip line. So you could say I am a little eclectic and eccentric.

I was always under the impression that iphones are for the more main stream commercial market and the blackberry is for the business professional.

There is a new blackberry launched in the UK called blackberry storm looks really cool, gonna look into that.

I think big names in IM like frank kern and mike filisame use blackberrys.

Nope... none of them use Blackberrys. Definitely the most popular is the iPhone.

Except Andy Jenkins - last time I saw him he was carrying TWO phones (I don't know why. One of them MIGHT have been a Blackberry)... and he has new phones every time I see him (which is usually every couple of months).

Not iPhone for me though - no ATT coverage out here in the wilds of Colorado.

Funny this thread came up. I just purchased a 3G Iphone today, it does just about everything I need when I am away from the computer.

As for what the big name guys use, who knows maybe a few will respond here.

Ironically, I did get an email from Rich Schefren today talking about the Iphone and to take a snippet he said:

"Yep, I admit it--I bought into the frenzy just like
everyone else (didn't have ANYTHING to do with
Filsaime, Walker and Kern all saying they were
getting one too, I SWEAR) and jumped in with both
    feet."
