Can You Have WP Posts End in PHP?

I've always had my WP posts and pages in in / or .html.

I'm wondering if you can have them end in php?

If so would I just set it up in the permalinks area?

As I understand it, by default, all WP post pages end in php unless you set things up differently.

Oops! As you so nicely pointed out, I am wrong and this is a direct result of my permalinks setting... guess I shouldn't post before morning caffeine! LOL

I just took a quick look at one of my WP sites and Voila! the post pages end in php! ;-)

    For example: http: // XXXXXXX.com/category-here/post-title-here.php

The Pages (as opposed to Post Pages) don't have an extension on the end

    For example: http : // XXXXXXXX.com/privacy-policy

BTW, my permalinks structure is /%category%/%postname%.php

      Thanks for responding.

All my posts by default end in something like ?p=1 or something

but I just changed my permalink settins to %/postname.php
