Is it ok to put like $50 value or $100 or even $300 value on products in a digital package you are selling? Is it ethical? It seems like the norm, even if the products you just purchased online with resell rights for a few bucks or just downloaded them for free?

It depends on what the other sellers in your niche are doing, and more importantly what makes your customer buy?

Within the IM market it's common place, but in other niche's it isn't, and these wild over valuations would harm conversions.

A free product can easily have a lot of cost to get made, but the return will be in the email list it generates. It's not uncommon to pay $97 to get an hour of an expert's time to create an interview product. This could rightly be marketed as $97 value.

Like everything it's the few bad eggs in the basket that spoil it for everyone, and you will just have to decide what you think is the right thing to do with your own websites.
