    Welcome to the game/industry/crazy house!

There are many different aspects to online marketing. I would suggest reading through the forums and deciding just what you want to try your hat at. Once you decide, then you should learn a system that works for the method of marketing that you have chosen.

So many people come here looking for mentors. Look around you... they are everywhere! Get involved with threads, just like you are doing. Ask specific questions. People will help you!

    Best of luck,

Advice: If you plan on learning from this forum, get involved with the threads & just try to soak in as much information as possible... But don't let it distract you from taking action.

Otherwise, purchase a product from a known person in the industry like Steve Clayton, Frank Kern, etc, etc and just follow it step by step.

Remember that nothing works over night, but the trick is finding a method that's repeatable and makes money.

Hi Harris, if you have decided to enter into the amazingly crazy world of affiliate marketing then I suggest you first spend some quality time of the market research.

This forum is an incredible place to perform your research. Find out what is the most suitable method for you to start with.

There are several paid and free methods available for affiliate marketing.

If you are on a shoestring budget then I suggest to look into one of the most easiest and free traffic generation method which is Article Marketing.

We all know that Article Marketing is one of the easiest to start with and you don't need much investment for it. If you have some base cash I suggest you browse through Warrior Special Offers and find someone reliable and experienced person here who is offering some mentoring regarding Affiliate Marketing or you can even buy such WSO to start with.

Even this particular forum section is full of valuable information regarding affiliate marketing. If you become War Room Member then you will get plenty of free valuable information which is not available elsewhere.

The point is here if you are new to the world of Affiliate Marketing then it is always a good idea to perform your market research thoroughly and take notes carefully, then decide which route you want to travel...

    Keith,

I've referred a handful of people to the Warrior Forum and I always offer the following advice:

Read and absorb for 30 days. Create an account and post in threads asking for clarification when you need it. Some of the advice here may tend to contradict that of others. The reality is that everything has to be taken for what it's worth. What works well for others may be counter-intuitive to the experiences of others. You need approach the whole situation as something that you know you'll need to tweak to suit you.

After 30 days, stop reading and devise a plan. This plan should take no longer than seven days to formulate. If you need help, post a new thread asking for it. Just make sure your questions are pointed and relevant.

The problem is that if you're like most people starting out, you want to absorb everything you possibly can. A desire to learn from the experience of others is an admirable trait. But this can lead to analysis paralysis... there is always something new to learn, a new perspective to gain. But you'll learn a ton more by doing.

    Hey Keith,

Your at the right place to learn what you need to know. There is tonnes of info here all about affiliate marketing etc. Another thing you can look into is a membership site like http://www.chrisfarrellmembership.com

I've been a member there for awhile and have learned alot from Chris Farrell. You can do a search here on him and you will find alot of positive reviews.

Go with Chris Farrell. He's an excellent teacher. His course is designed specifically for newbies.

If all you can do with a computer is play games, email and surf the net, then Chris Farrell is an ideal place to start with affiliate marketing.

His teaching style is very easy to understand.

I would say do your research here. Find a program that is recommended by other members. Set your plan and do it. Do not jump from program to program always looking for the next sure thing. I have spent more than I care to disclose on this method and it doesn't work Avoid information overload.

Many WF users might entice you to hire a mentor.

There are many WF users offering coaching.

There is also a lot of free information that you can study on your own.

I am not leaning one way or another.
