Ebay: Keyword Research, Traffic and Higher # of Bids?

A friend of mine sells a brand of clothes online (they are real) and started to ask me about how they could get more people to make bids.

I thought this would be the best place for me to get some traffic and other tips to help increase the number of bids they get.

Any traffic driving, keyword research or copywriting tips for Ebay is much appreciated.

Here's a start - don't have clever eBay titles. Have
titles that include as many keywords as possible.

    A simple example: dress

    mention size

    mention colour

mention who it is for - women, girl

mention its use - party, evening wear, business

Do a search on eBay for the main word (e.g. dress)
and see what other keywords are used in the titles
of the auctions that have the most bids.

If the same keywords apply to your listing then use
it in the title. If it does not apply then decide what
group it is from and get another member from the
group that applies to your listing.

For example, green dress, but your dress is not green
    - green is from the group of colors - the color that
applies to my item is red so use red dress.

Thanks for the tips, Liked the researching other successful listings one.

I would have uggested a few lead gen websits to drive traffic to the listings but, as it is a trademark brand as opposed to a type of product, that might be difficult.

    Any other suggestions?

Expound on the features and benefits in the listing description.

Start the intro to the item with the benefits the buyer will receive by purchasing the item. Then tell as many features as possible; size, color, etc. Close with one BIG benefit (and perhaps an additional bonus or two) that the customer simply can't wait to experience when they purchase this item. Sell the sizzle! And don't forget the 'call to action' in the closing line.

ALso, make good use of eBay's 'Me' page for testimonials, links to other sites, referrals, special offers, coupons, etc.
