Ways to Make Money Offline

I know this is IM forum, but I wanted to get some feedback on different things you did offline that made you money. For me personally and sadly it only consisted working for wages(for a long time), geting goverment hand outs and selling my old stuff on ebay.

I do make money online about $100-$400 a month but it takes a lot of time and effort to scale it up for this very low payout, so I was thinking maybe I can do something offline, and use my IM skills to promote my business and get new leads and clients.

You know what I thought. You could use this time
Of delivering pizza to spread some flyers for an online promotion. Would add very little time and may help you build your business while earning money to pay your bills.

For starters, congrats on actually making some money online... many people struggle as you have described and never see even that amount.

There's a whole forum dedicated to your question:
    Offline Marketing Discussions

Getting offline clients can sometimes be a breeze and sometimes a massive struggle and volumes can be written about it.

However, my best piece of advice is to explain, justify and prove your case.

Truth is, your approach will depend on your personality and desire, but:

ALWAYS focus on making the customer more money or reducing costs.

    That's ALL they care about.

They DON'T understand "SEO". They don't CARE about SEO. They care about profits.

So for example, if you're selling them SEO services, DON'T.

    Instead:
    • Explain to them in plain words that with your services, they can expect to see x number of new customers per month. (EXPLAIN)
    • Back it up (in simple terms) with estimates for search terms and the basics of being at the top of the searches leads to more clicks. (JUSTIFY EXPENSE)
    • Show them that you will be able to TRACK it - (use a coupon or something). (PROVE)
    See, here's why that works:
    • You're explaining simply that you can help them make more money.
    • You're giving them numbers to justify their investment.
    • You're giving them accountability (Proof!) by using a coupon or something - every time a new customer comes in the restaurant (for example) with that coupon, they'll think fondly of you.

Once you have any client (offline or online) my best piece of advice is to scale it up in any way you can. Don't hard sell, but realize there are related things...

To go back to our restaurant example - if you get them a web site with a coupon page, next you could:
    • Setup an autoresponder series for them (using your affiliate link) to promote their coupons. Perhaps use recipes or related food topics (best ways to smoke meat for a BBQ place for example)
    • If the owner has a ton of their own tips/recipes, develop an ebook for them (or have it ghost written). Set it all up on paypal/clickbank/whatever for a share of the profits or a one time fee.
    • Sell them SEO or local results services.
    • Sell them hosting.
    • Sell them ongoing maintenance for their site to update menus, coupons, etc.
    • Set them up with social marketing.
    • Get them on youtube for their theme (BBQ for example).
    • Try to get them exposure in the local media - paper, news stations, etc.
    • The list goes on...

Hope it generates some ideas for you.

    Gary

Desperate, I hope that was sarcasm lol. Why would you even mention delivering pizza in the warrior forum? Anyway, freetherightwolf. What you want to do is stay online, if you're only making $100-$400 dollars a month, you are doing something wrong. Are you in a business model that can be scaled? If so, you must be doing adsense, promoting clickbank products? or both and just not getting enough traffic.

What I would do if you're business model is scalable, is to keep on the grind, keep expanding, until you reach a monthly income you're comfortable with. Also look for other ways to drive traffic, don't just use one. If your going to work as an affiliate, i would promote CPA offers. But delivering pizza? seriously? lol The reason we come alone is to make BIG BUCKS, and get our freedom, not to be pointed in the wrong direction(gurus, and people who tell you to deliver pizza? never heard of that one before) but people please don't discourage warriors.

But anyway, freetherightwolf from you're signature you've been pointed in the wrong direction too many times, why do you have links to porn articles on you're signature box? lol Just curious...

You know it's possible you make money online, so stop going for the small money, find a way to make the big money. CPA marketing, and product creation. Enough said.

Spend a lot of time in the CPA thread. Buy a few CPA WSO's sock in what you learn, and implement.

    Keep up the good work!

Did I read this wrong, or were you talking more about a totally offline business rather than promoting your online business offline? If you were talking about a true offline business, there are a number of things you can do, depending on your skills and interests, the same as online.

My husband built a very profitable one-man upholstery shop offline (obviously), and my son did well with a lawn care business until he decided to go into full-time management with a large corporation.

If that's not what you meant, I apologize for being dense. I have those days.
