Hi all

I'm new to IM and want to get started promoting amazon products.

I've read some of the amazon threads (excelent info by the way).

But i'm a bit confused! I live in the UK, So does that mean I have to sign up to (Amazon.co.uk) to get paid, or can I use (Amazon.com) or both.

Whats the best solution, do both sites intergrate etc.

Help would be appreciated from the experts on this.

Regards Paul

I am in England and I have signed up for both.
You get a different amazon id for both accounts and you sign up for them as individual accounts although you can use the same information when registering both accounts.

Log in to the USA account at amazon-com and the UK account at the co.uk amazon site.
I signed up for both as it makes it easier to target UK people in £'s

There is a WP plugin that re-directs visitors to their local Amazon store.

This plugin not only automatically changes any Amazon link on your site to use your affiliate ID, but it also changes the link to point to the user's local Amazon store.

So if your visitor is visiting from the UK they'll get a link to Amazon.co.uk, if they're visiting from the US they'll get a link to the same product on Amazon.com.

All you have to do is provide all your affiliate IDs.
It doesn't matter if the link is in your post, in your template or anywhere else on your page - it'll be converted automatically.

Bear in mind that banks charge around £10 to cash US checks if you go with the US Amazon.

I live in the UK and have signed up to the US Amazon associates. If i use the plugin would it be wiser to signup to the UK site so i wouldn't be paying the £10 charge to cash checks or is it more benificial to stick with the US site?
