I think you may need to define the term "blog" pretty precisely to get a meaningful discussion out of this one, without everyone talking at cross-purposes? For example, all my sites are technically "blogs", because they're made with blogging software (though it doesn't show at all), but I'm guessing that you probably wouldn't consider any of them to be a "blog" within the context you're asking about.

Fisrt you should give a clear definition of "blog page" and "article page". There is no such animal in a blog.

So, let's go back to the basics.

I asked you yesterday, why not install the blog software to see how it works. Then you would be able to ask meaningful questions...

    What is an 'article page'????

Within a blog there are 'posts' or 'pages' that's it - no blog page or article page.

But to try and answer you.....

I mostly create a few pages to cover my main keyword phrases - so I might have 4 or 5 pages on my blog that are created as 'pages' and not 'posts'.

These will be the pages that I build backlinks to and try to rank for the keywords that those pages are built around. These pages might consist of a 500 word article.

Then I use blog 'posts' to add more content to the blog on a regular basis. These can be anywhere between 300 words to 600 or 700 words, depending on how much I get carried away.

So basically the 'pages' I create are my main pages, then I blog on a long term basis to add more content.

I don't use auto content at all, I always add my posts manually.

I asked the question because many people sent me their page set up ideas and many of them had pages labeled "article page" and "blog page"

Most blogs I used and made had a 'blog" page where "posts were logged"

Again, I was asking for clarification, I thought maybe some people place thier posts on one page( dynamic) and their "similar ariticles" on a static page

I will sometimes have a 'page' as my home page (static) and then create a page called 'blog' then I have that page as the one where all the blog posts will appear. So on the site if someone clicks on the 'blog' page it will show the blog posts. Is that what you mean?

When you create posts in your blog they are actually individual pages, we may refer it as post because as usually the structure of a blog is 2-3 or more posts (pages) on first page then there is a bottom navigation to go to next posts so they treat in a blog as a post but actually they are pages.
