I finally finished my first product but I have a few questions

Hello, I finally finished my first product, but have a few questions if anyone's willing to help me cushion some of the bumps on my journey!

1) Would I be correct to assume that if I put my product on Clickbank and did no self promotion it wouldn't make any sales, or would affiliates eventually find it themselves?

2) I've been told that affiliates will not promote my product unless I show them proof of it's conversions, do you find this to be true?

If so, what would be a simple approach to getting these conversion statistics in a timely fashion?

As an affiliate myself I've never looked for proof of prior conversions, I normally make my decision based on my view of the sales copy.

3) I understand that doing both would be the best option, but in your experience which would be the simplest approach to selling my product, Clickbank, WSO, or other?

4) Do you have any advice for a new product owner about ways to approach product promotion and getting affiliates involved?

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

    Hey,

    Some replies...

    1) Some affiliates will find it... but you really need to go out there and recruit affiliates yourself.

    2) This is right, but you will find many affiliates happy to promote (if they know the sales page convert), even without any data.

    3) It's up to you. Some prefer clickbank, others prefer paypal. Wso will help you with the first couples of sales, and if you run it properly, you can rake in a few thousands in just a few days. I've launched an ebook in the wso section back in the days and I made $4000 in less than 48K (that was my very first launch!).

    Regards,

I have always found myself looking at conversion rates in relation to how the product fits within my niche. I think it would be safe to say that many others probably do this as well. If a product doesn't list a conversion rate, I'll leave it for a month or two and comeback. If it still doesn't, but I really want to promote it I will try it out for myself.

Probably best to have as much data available as you possibly can.
