I am planning to use Google talk guest talk gadget.

Is that good or you would suggest something better ?

The best live support chat platform i like is the one namecheap uses

Good choice, I've been using Google talkfor months and I can say that it was really great, I can use this for office employees purpose. I am satisfied with it that is why I also recomment it to others.

  I have to admit I do like livesupport.com
  
  Its great seeing exactly where the visitor is in the world, what page of your site they're on, what browser they used to find you and even what they typed into the browser.
  
  I also particularly like the proactive chat. I have people on the contact us page or FAQ page and when I try to talk to them at that stage I get a good response. For the price its a bargain in my opinion. Having said that it was recommended to me and I've not used anything else.

I've always been a big fan of PHP Live! Support, myself.

It's not free, but seems to work well (and I've tried it "from both ends"), and is well worth the cost.

Hot conference is a good one that i know of.

I know about it because i visit Live Marketing Chat every friday saturday and it is hosted on Hot Conference. We do have occasional problems (low sound etc.) but overall Hot conference is awesome.

Dont think the chat starts automatically like when you chat with a friend on gtalk.

You have to join a convo or something to start it. Tried it and dint feel it was too user friendly...

Another cool alternative (that I use) is livezilla. Its just as good
as the paid ones, but the price is better. Free

I think clickdesk would be a good choice and it's free for gtalk messenger but for skype you can pay a yearly fee. I purchased the upgrade because I use skype and I'm always online and get chat requests and if the user is serious about buying something you can usually get the sale right away.
