Just curious.. Can you export Aweber Lists? What happens if you want to cancel

Im just wondering, are you essentially tied into a silent contract for life, where if you cancel with them you lose your entire list? Or are their ways to freeze your membership or export your lists to use in other programs if you so choose?

I love aweber service just wondering this for my info

Thanks in advance

    Hi Woah,

Great question. yes, you can export your entire list. When you go to your subscriber list, you have the option to export the list as a CSV file. Then you can import that into another autoresponder service if you choose to do so.

    So not to worry

Yes, you can export a file as TheFreebieGuy says. The only problem is: If you want to import the file into another autoresponder service, many of them will want your entire list to confirm their opt-in again. Some list members will, but a lot won't bother in my experience.

I know I am late, but I +1 that, the vast majority just wont resubscribe unless you "warm them up" before, like "next week I will be migrating bla bla bla" and throw in a bonus (of value) to all those re-confirm.

With aweber you want to get into the habit of backing up your list at regular intervals cos if you do the slightest thing to upset them they will delete your list without giving you a backup.........then you lose everything

hey bro, there is any easier way than "exporting" every single list...

    It's simple too...

Just open your Aweber account and click the "my lists" tab...

This will show all of your current lists and the unsubs etc...

now at the top of this list where be a black button that says "backup and export all lists" its to the right of the green button that says "create a new list"...

When you do this Aweber can create a zip file that has all of your lists csv forms inside. I make sure to do this every couple of days myself

I know you can do this to back up your list, but I'm pretty sure that no decent autoresponder will allow you to import it without a proper opt-in.
