Camtasea Output - making my videos Squashed sideways (taller)? Why ?

I am using camtasia, to output a video (of size)

when it outputs under the SAME size, then this new output video looks taller (or squashed sideways).

why is this? it is distorting the text.

why is this happening? is it a settings issue?

(My original video size =
1080-25p Video

Your input and output dimensions are not the same.

I know you think they were when you created the video, but they were not.

You have the ability to check the "Custom Size' box and type in the dimensions you want your output size to be. You can fool around with trying to compensate manually by playing with the numbers until you get it right.

But Camtasia is not likely to randomly squish your video output size. That's generally a function of having a loose nut behind the wheel...

You need to make sure the dimensions you recorded the video at are the same dimensions you import the video into Camtasia at and the same dimensions you use to export the video out of Camtasia.

If the video is getting squashed, you are missing one of these steps.
