Ezinearticles and Hubpages

i would put the bulk of it in hubpages to get their trust and the do follow switched on.

put the rest in ezine cuz ezine is do follow off the bat. i would then build up ezine to get platinum status.

thats just me thou.

squidoo is great and reputable but its kind of a pain in the ass to set up each time.

Only to Ezinearticles.com, it will give you instant targeted traffic.

I have tried Hubpages and Squidoo in the past and both did not worked for me.

  cuz hubpages and squidoo don't like duplicate content.
  
  In hubpages, if you put up an article found somewhere else, it will be marked as 'duplicate' and 'over promotional', which translates to low scores and lower views (it may even be taken down in some instances)

Base on my experiences, if you had 100 articles it would be better to distribute them on following ratio:

1. 20 on EzineArticles
> This will generate a lot of direct traffic to your website through your Author Bio Box

2. 30 on other TOP article directories
> Other TOP directories also have good traffic

3. 50 on Article & Blog distribution networks with SPIN technology
> This will increase backlinks Astronomically to your website (drip over time). Excellent for SEO purpose.

I prefer Hubpages over both of those. I'd say more than 75% of my articles get over 10 unique views a day, and quite a few get over 20. I also have one or two that do 100+.

With Ezinearticles, I get a bunch of views right away but then it dies out pretty quickly. If you want the articles to do well, you need to manually build backlinks. Hubpages' internal linking structure makes it easy to rank high if your content is good. If your hub's score is over 80, you'll usually get at least 200 internal links, usually more.

Do you do anything else, beyond SEO, to promote your articles?

One thing I have done is simply begin a thread, in a very prominent facebook group, asking people to share their own blog posts/web 2.0 articles, that pertain to the subject of the group. Once a few people have chimed in, you post a link to your article. So often people are downright overly promotional, without giving back anything of value to a group.

I did this with HUGE success recently.

My choices are in order - Ezine, Hubpages, then Squidoo.

I would spread them out throughout all 3 and spin each article as well to submit to other directories.

Personally, I wouldn't post them on Ezine Articles.

You can gain similar authority AND revenue share by posting them on the other sites. Personally, my breakdown would go like this, simply to diversify:

HubPages: 25
Squidoo: 25
Info Barrel: 50

I would consider lessening contributions to Squidoo and expanding contributions to HubPages and Info Barrel.

Since I've used all three, I'd suggest that you TEST all three, before committing to one or more of them. Asking other folks what they'd do won't tell you which will work for your niche.

Content is not fungible. What you have to say about one subject will not get the same attention in a given resource as another subject. You'll have to learn which of these resources will deliver the most Ideal Readers to you for your particular niche.

Also, consider whether you want internal traffic (from the site itself) or search engine traffic. All three of these sites have plenty of internal traffic, but the type and quality of that traffic may not suit your business goals.

Each of these sites is like a wall: you have to ask yourself, "What's it for?" before you decide to put it up (i.e. load-bearing wall, partition, wall w/a door, etc.).

Also consider differences in how the traffic from each site converts when they get to your site. Do they do what you want them to do? In one of my niches, traffic from Squidoo converts far better than from any other source.

Personally I only use Ezine Articles. After I submit my articles there I usually spin them and submit to Unique Article Wizard for extra links.

Well there are a ton of things you can do with unique content. But it all depends on what you want to do with the articles.

Drive traffic or use it as content?

If you want to drive traffic, the submit them and then re-purposes them.

If you want to use them as content, use them in a follow up sequence or content for a blog.

ezine takes a while to get approved but it's worthy.

I don't like squidoo, they consider anything spam, they suck.

Just to play devil's advocate here...

Web 2.0 sites, like Squidoo, DO have to navigate a delicate balance between providing just enough freedom, and restricting other elements of functionality. A few years ago, Squidoo was slapped by Google for excessive SPAM, and they have clearly taken a strong position against it....

It is in their best interest, as a business, to ensure for quality.

There's this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...had-ezine.html which fits in nicely here as a response... I have put up a list there with other places to submit your articles. But (as far as I am concerned) it still is a very time consuming progress unless you can outsource a couple of things. At this point of time I am trying to work with cpa offers- I hope to see some conversions.

I first responded to this thread around Nov-Dec of last year. IF guest posting was an option, I'd change my response ever so slightly...

I would definitely use 10-15 articles for guest posts....

  A lot of Me, Too posts. If you want to max out 100 articles - try this.
  
  If I had 100 articles for a new site or niche - they would like be several articles each on a specific set of long tail keywords. Say 5 articles each on 20 keyword phrases.
  
  Here's what I could do with them.
  
  1. Post on my site(s)
  2. Submit to EZA (over time - don't want to just do an article dump)
  3. Make 3 short new articles for each KW phrase by using info from the 5 articles of that phrase - and use for hubpages
  4. Do TWO good quality rewrites of each article and load the 100 articles (which are now 100 sets of 3 articles per set) into UAW - which would submit at a rate of 3 articles per week for about 8 months.
  
  (I don't like squidoo - but you could add that, too)
  
  The process above is why it's necessary to start with 100 GOOD articles that are long enough to provide some real niche info. If you outsource your article writing you can outsource a job for 600-700 word articles plus the rewrite/format of UAW sets at the same time. (The only spinner I use is "me")
  
  Start with good quality articles and work it, baby.

Monetizing to the maximum means you've to put it in all. For difference niches different sites work, but it does feel good if all 3 give you sales. I'd go for all 3.

I would post it on ezinearticles because it gets the most traffic. You can also become an authority on ezinearticles and become more respected. However, if you were planning on making money with adsense, then you would be more interested in hubpages.
