My Progress in 6 Weeks of IM

Hi Everyone!
You may or may not remember me. I started a thread a few weeks ago about needing to earn $5000 so that I could buy my landlords house which was going into foreclosure.

Sad to say, the sale is on Dec 12 and Im absolutely nowhere near my goal, BUT I have made some progress that I am happy to report!

I scrapped my IBS website for now. I've written a total of 12 articles I started for another niche and to date I've earned a little more than $300. Its nowhere near $5 grand but I'm pleased becasue its a start. I've had about 3400 unique visitors.

My 6week old website has no PR rating . Does anyone know how long that takes? Also when I try to see what other sites I'm linked to using the link: feature, nothing comes up, but my articles have been reprinted on other peoples webpages- along with the resource boxes.

One other question-its unrelated though...
There was an interesting piece of news that came out today about Fannie and Freddy suspending foreclosures and evictions. Does anyone know if this could possibly postpone the trustee sale of the house we are in? Landlords house is scheduled for sale Dec 12th. Any RE experts know anything about this?

That's great success in such a short time and your enthusiasm is wonderful - it shows that you understand the reality of IM, versus the hype - and that's key to really making it long term in this business! I have no doubt that you will succeed - and wind up buying a home that is probably far better than this one!

That being said - I would contact the bank that is foreclosing as soon as possible - I don't know where you are, but I know that in many parts of the country, banks are making some amazing deals to keep from 'losing' money on the books right now. So start with the bank, and then find out if the loan is a Fannie/Freddie loan (not all are) - they should be able to give you the latest news and whether or not you are in a qualifying property.

Good luck - with business and the home!

Not an expert in RE but I do know Law and their suspension of foreclosures is not retroactive; Unless the lanlord works out some type of deal with the bank the sale will go on as planned. Although I have heard the federal government is trying to stop evictions when they are no fault of the renters. If I am right and this happens even if they sell it at foreclosure the new owners will have to take you for a certain amount of time.

You should really pat yourself on the back for making 300 dollars; most people go months before they ever make a dime. The hardest part of internet marketing is earning the first buck before long you will have the cash rolling in.

Your PR will take along time; getting links is just a small part of SEO. I have some videos you could watch to help speed up you learning curve. I will let you watch them for free and help you any way I can who knows people have made 5000 in a day maybe you can.

send me a private message if you want to watch the videos

    Wow! That's awesome! Big congratulations!

Would you mind if I were to ask what you were doing with the articles? It sounds like you had posted them on an article repository and just letting things flow from there!

    Congrats again!

That's great; I've written a lot of articles and not gotten that kind of return. They must be fantastic articles! Maybe you've got a secret or two to share......if so, I'm listening.

Thats great! Even if you are nowhere near the 5k that you want to make, at least you have made $300 in 6 weeks. It took me longer than that to make my first $300..

Keep pushing on for more success!

It will take a while for your site to get a PR rank. You will also need to build backlinks back to your site.

It can also take a few weeks or months before the serach engines detect the backlink you have forn the articles that you wrote and subnit to article directories.

Wow, that's quite a return on your time eh?

12 articles for $300...that's nearly $30 per article..not too shabby if you ask me!

I'd do that any day, considering articles only take like 20 minutes to write...

Keep it up and you'll get there in no time

If you are using Google to see what backlinks you have, then that is a problem. Google doesn't give accurate backlink numbers. Some suspect that is to keep their PR algo secret.

You should use Yahoo...they don't use PR so they will more accurately tell you about backlinks to your site. Use the same syntax at Yahoo that you do at Google.

Well done girl - keep at it and you will definitely succeed!

Regards PR - it takes time. Google hand it out roughly every 3 months, however, it makes no real difference to your traffic sources. It simply lifts the value of outgoing links.

The link feature only shows pages with a PR above a certain level so that's why you don't see the inbound links. Try it on Yahoo and you will get a different result i.e. you will see more.

    honestandy,

Fannie Mae is the Federal National Mortgage Association and Freddie Mac is the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation. As of 2008, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac owned or guaranteed about half of the United States $12 trillion mortgage market's loans.

You might have heard of the $700 billion bail-out for Wall Street. That's because of the twins, Freddie and Fannie.

    FYI,

    Tom

Create a WSO outlining exactly what you've done with your 12 articles to make $300.

As you can tell by the responses, people are interested enough to pay for your success strategy and also help you with your cause.

You can still meet your deadline...

Well done; you're making progress, and you're taking ACTION which will get you wherever you want to go.

Re"My 6week old website has no PR rating . Does anyone know how long that takes?"

Toolbar PR (the PR you can see) is updated around every three months or so.

However, getting your site's pages indexed in Google is much more important than PR, which can fluctuate. How many of your pages are indexed when you use the "site" operator -- Advanced Google Search Operators

Focus on adding content to your site, and getting links to the content so that you start appearing in the Google index for your chosen keywords.

I wish you every success... I'm sure you'll do brilliantly.

    Cheers

    Angela

The only one that can postpone a trustee sale is the person conducting the sale.

There are really only two things that you can wish to happen

    1. The owners come up with the money or...
    2. Maybe the house doesn't sale that day
If you are renting, and under the terms of your agreement then you should still be able to live in that house even if it's purchased by someone else.

About two years ago I bought a house in West Oakland, California under similar circumstances.

The only difference was that I got the house before it went to the trustee sale.

The only reason that I was able to evict the tenants, had to do with their inability to continue paying rent.

Try contacting a real estate lawyer to find out for sure but, even if the house is sold in a trustee sale, you should still be able to live their under your contract.

The only thing that may hurt is if you live in an area where there isn't any rent control. If this is the case the potential new owner, "if the house is sold" can very easily kick you out.

Let me know if you need more info. I'm guessing from your question that you live somewhere on the west coast, most likely California... they don't have trustee sale's anywhere else.

Anything that I don't know, I can find out

    Hi Everyone!

Thank you for all of the responses. A lot of what Ive been doing is forum marketing as well. There is a forum for my niche that I post in daily-- At least two posts every day.No more than 4. I enjoy that part of my day, becasue its fun.
It also drives a lot of traffic to my website. Most of my articles performed just so-so , but I have three that did really well. On Ezines I can tell that these three articles alone brought in almost 2000 visitors. They also rank on the first page of Google for their keyword. Ive been pretty much duplicating these articles, but keeping the titles very similar :"7 best Ways to do this or that"

Every single thing I'm doing right...I learned here.

About the house: I found out today that the landlords mortgage is not with Fannie Mac or Freddie so thats out. We are gonna just stick around until after the sale. Hopefully someone will buy it and want good tenants.
