Failing with everything online

Yeah, this is a whining thread where I bitch about not getting anything right these days. Was actually moderatly successful with cpa for a while but not anymore.

So, let's list:

- Microniche sites: moderate success, november best month with about 1200$, but december is looking terrible.. hoping it's because of holidays and my sites not beeing related to any xmas activities.

- Email/zip submits using ppc from facebook, adbrite etc: Total failure
- Cpa offers, both in norway (where I'm from) and for US: Total failure
- Leads generating with facebook ads to a mortgage broker site I own: Complete and utter failure.
- Got laid off as company went bankrupt, finding new job: Total failure..

Anyone have any good ideas at anyting else I can fail at while I'm at it?

But seriously.. Is this that hard? I spend hours and hours split testing, trying multiple offers etc. etc. and nothing. Am I just retarded or wtf is going on?

Sometimes you just have to keep trying until you find something that works for you. Based on what you've done so far, I'd say you should keep working on your micro-niche sites.

By the way, some of my sites go bad this time of year too so you aren't alone.

Maybe. You make it sound like it's supposed to be easy. Why not just start over and find some people with a problem that you want to help.

Man, making $1200 in one month with micro niche sites would be a HUGE success for me! Build upon that success.

When you say micro niche sites, are they monetized with Adsense, Amazon, or both?

  • It's all about staying ahead of the curb and only backing something that you have total faith in. I, like you have had many failures but never gave up. The person that never gives up in the end is the one who will triumph. Try doing some market research. Have you built a dedicated list?

Hey, I know the feeling along with alot of other people on this forum.. We've all been there.

Definitely go with what works, and obviously your niche sites have worked in the past, so focus on them some more.

It's not easy, just like any other business. Fix your mindset, realize it might take longer than you thought, and focus on one thing at a time until it's profitable.

Are you just not interested in micro-niche? You obviously know how to do it, and you know if you keep doing it you'll have all the income you'll need.

    Are you bored?

I can identify with how you feel and your frustration. For some time everything I did failed too, and I mean EVERYTHING!! Its like all the powers that be trying to tell me "you cannot do this"...or its not worth it. But getting a job and going back to the 9-5 was just NOT an option I was willing to consider...so almost broke but not fully defeated, I decided to give it one more try! I am glad that I did!

Unless you are willing to go back to the 9-5 drill, hang in there and keep trying. You WILL get it right.

If I were you I would take the $1200 you made and find a couple outsource workers that you can train to build more niche sites for you. If you scale it up you should begin to profit more.

I had to laugh when I read this. I just wrote an article for my blog titled "Failing Your Way to Success." LOL My fear of online failure has been preventing me to do the things that I need to do (mostly marketing efforts) to succeed. I am trying to embrace the fact that failure is a natural part of success.

Good point! I used to think that when I failed at something I had just "wasted" time, energy and money that was down the drain for good. I realize now that nothing could be farther from the truth. We each failure, I still "learned" something that moved me closer towards success. A failure is only REALLY a failure when you give up and stop trying.

You are doing good as long as you are doing something and trying to improve. Now do some more testing and experimenting. Eventually you will hit the spot.

Jeff, have you been through a whole yearly cycle yet with your niche sites? My first year I was surprised at how low the earnings were for December, too. But January and February sales always make up for that.

You have ample knowledge to assist a newbie with getting started on niche marketing. Plenty of newbies would be thrilled to make $1200 a month, even less. You could run a very helpful WSO on niche marketing right here at WF.

It's common for sites to have their peaks and valleys. You just have to keep thinking positive and try even harder during these times. It will pick up.
