If You HAD To Teach A Total Newbie To Make $1,000 In A Week - What Would You Teach?

If you had to teach (lend your expertise) a total newbie how to make $1,000 in one week, what would you teach them?

Article Marketing? Product Creation? List Building? PPC? WSO? A mixture of these?

It has to be strictly online work or only at home. The newbie can't leave his home.

Honest opinions please.

No negative opinions. Don't say it's not possible, it's hard, unlikey, etc... I have seen it happen! It might take a little dedication, hours of work, but it is possible!!! Ever hear the law of attraction? :p

The only way to have a chance to make $1000 dollars in affiliate marketing in a week is to do PPC.

What are the stipulations? Can they be ways that you need money to invest, or only time?

Stipulations are up to you I guess, perhaps someone with some free time and a few hundred in the bank that they're willing to risk.

I don't know about that. I think if you wrote articles like your life depended on it (50-80 per day every day) in as many niches as you could think of redirecting them to the product, submitted them at the right time to EZA for seven days and spent the rest of your time answering questions at yahoo answers dropping links to your landing pages I think it is very possible. Thats a crazy amount of work but I think you could pull it off.

I think the best chance might be becoming an online joint venture broker...setting up deals between online marketers (keep in mind they can be online marketers in ANY niche).

If you put together a marketer with a large list with another marketer who has a related but non-competitive product then you can take a small percentage of the sales made.

It doesn't require a whole lot of skill and can be learned within a few days

You WILL have to use the telephone and probably some snail mail to put together the deals though.

Outside of that if a complete newbie is willing to work free for 2-6 months he might talk an experienced online marketer into teaching him the ropes so he could take on projects the marketer doesn't have the time to implement.

To begin with he'd have to work completely free doing odd work for that marketer so he could learn the skills needed to work onto more complex projects.

        Kindest regards,
        Andrew Cavanagh

In that case, you need to HAVE the money to make the money. I'd teach how to target the right kind of keywords to dominate Google for an article and I'd teach them how to "article market". And how to get the backlinks that make SURE their articles get and stay on the top of Google.

Assuming they have no list (total newbie) I'd take a hard look at product creation and a combination of article marketing, JV partnering and maybe a little early PPC reinvestment for traffic.

    Just my initial thoughts.

I would give the newbie a list of all the businesses in the area with the phone numbers and emails.

I would teach him how to use an html editor to build brochure pages.

I would give him a canned script to read to everyone who answered the phone.

For all the deals he closed on the phone and got them to send a check or paypal the money he could keep all the money.

For the deals I went on to close he could keep half the money.

He would charge a flat rate of $300.00 a year for the website and directory listing.

He would make 20 calls a day which would result in 1 to 3 sales a day.

The rest of the working day he would spend building the websites.

This would be $1,500 to $4,500 a week.

EDIT: After the first year he could keep working and build his income to more than the original amount or he could just collect the money from his current customers and only get new customers to replace the few who would leave him.

    The end,

Great example George, kind of what I was thinking... If I had to teach a newbie to make money, I would suggest they look in the offline world first... offer their graphics skills to create brochures for businesses, offer their web skills to create websites for businesses...

Great post George. Can you give us an example of a brochure page?

George has the winner - the newbie should totally go for offline sales via phone! Talking to prospects may be tough for some to get out of "the computer screen zone"...yet... talking on the phone to the customer makes you money!

go to the thrift stores (goodwill/salvation army) by popular clothing such as polo, sports jerseys, and other popular items in good condition and sell them on ebay. With 100 dollars said newbie should be able to reach his goal.

I don't think the average newb would have the ability to run a full scale IM campaign successfully.

If the newbie has more money, I will recommend the PPC. And if he has little money, article marketing is good way to him. Both methods are good for long term.

Hmm... how about a WSO. When I didn't have Camtasia, I did a set of videos teaching ClickBank techi-tips and sold it at WSO. Made over $1000 that week. More than enough to grab a full version of Camtasia.

If they can write an article then they can write a small report. I would teach them how to market that report and make a ton more than any article would make them.
