discouraged article marketers

I urge you not to give up. Keep writing articles. In the beginning there will be days where you don't make any money. Don't let that get you down. I've been going through that in the beginning but as time goes on and the more articles you put out, those days of zero dollars will start to decrease.

I'm not wealthy. In fact, I'm an internet marketer who's hit hard times as of late. I was a blac*hatter who desperately wanted and hat to turn white hat. I was used to making a lot of fast money online but those methods were going to eventually die out because they were black hat methods. I've now shifted my focus to building a foundation. It's a process but if I stick with it for a few more months, I know the 8-10 hour days I put into this will start to pay off....

I believe with article marketing the income will increase with each and every month. It'll end up compounding. You'll be paid for articles you've written months ago on top of your new work.

Example: I earned almost $450 in my first month of article marketing. I'm expecting anywhere from $700 to $1000 in the second month because I know some of my articles from last month will still get sales on top of what I am currently producing. I could get $300 in sales from last months articles and $450 from this months...totaling $750...if I keep working at it the number will keep rising each month.

Once you effectively learn how to write articles, it's pretty much money in the bank. It's up to you to really determine how much.

      Darius,

Is 11 better than the previous versions? Have you ever used the previous versions for comparison?

      Share details. Thanks!

    Great story, thanks for sharing.

If you don't mind me asking though...when you say you made "$xx" amount each month, are you talking about affiliate marketing or money you've made from Adsense or something else?

Thanks a lot Bill. I've recently started Article Marketing. I am new to internet marketing and have been trying to catch up with this field.

i was caught up with the quick fix and didn't think about fundamentals and building a legitimate and long-term business.

article marketing requires a lot of discipline. i'm a bit discourage too as there is a lot of competition. hopefully it will pay off.

Thanks for sharing, Bill. You're absolutely right about article marketing, it is a progressive process that will build up and snowball over time. Obviously, the better you get at it and the faster you pump out your articles, then the quicker you'll be able to start making money.

If you have any additional time on your hands and you'd like to pick up some extra cash, you could also consider either freelancing or selling PLR articles. I can see that you write pretty well, and by selling unique articles or PLR articles (I am pretty sure selling PLR pays more ultimately), you could supplement your meager article marketing income for now.

Don't forget that you can also utilize your own articles (especially the better ones) on your own websites, and I'd recommend you ultimately focus more on that as I feel you'll end up earning more on your articles there than by submitting them to the article directories.

Paulie, I have given extensive thought to creating plr articles. I was going to offer them for free to build a list. Unfortunately, I haven't put that into action. I could definitely use some extra cash while I'm trying to build my article marketing business.

Bill, I was actually referring to using PLR articles in a different context. You could write PLR article packs and sell them here in this forum and elsewhere, allowing you to pick up some quick cash while working on your article marketing business.

I'm sorry, I knew what you were getting at. I was thinking long term. If I build a list and the subscribers like the content, I could sell over and over again.

Selling PLR articles could also be a long-term business model if you treated it that way. If you had all buyers sign up on your autoresponder list, then you'd have a list of buyers that you could market to over and over again. This is a long-term business model that Tiffany Dow has employed very effectively, and has brought her repeat buyers consistently.

Well, if you're truly serious about getting into the PLR arena and want to do this for the long-term, then in my mind there's no better program than Tiffany Dow's PLR ATM course. (She has been in the PLR business for a looong time!)

Quick quest for a newbie? What is PLR?

Nice story and thanks for some inspiration... One of the reasons I am here tonight Is that I am looking for tips. (been at this 23 days now and I feel all of it has been in vain)

Now I was given the impression elsewhere that an article a day or two or three would be too inundating for my new-founded blog/review site. (2 or 3 per day is what I estimate I could churn out if I was to work the 8-10 hour day you mentioned.)

Bill thanks for the inspirational post, it is always good to hear some success stories no matter how big or small the success.

Quick quest for a newbie? What is PLR?
Akilez - PLR is short for Private Label Rights. These are articles, reports etc that you can buy and you an put your name to them as author. You can change them, use them on your blog or website. Most people will rewrite them before using them to make them unique, it is easier and faster than writing your own articles from scratch.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. As a newbie, I have been doing article marketing for a couple of months now and have written 35 articles. To be honest, I have found it to be "Hard Work".

How many live articles are needed before seeing substantial traffic?

I starter article marketing about 2 weeks ago. I wrote about IM niche.
So far I have written about 10 IM articles and submitted all of them to ezinearticles.
Guess what? yesterday I checked my clickbank account and discovered that I have made a sale from my 10 IM articles.
In fact I was surprised because article writing is not my cup of tea and knowing that with 10 articles I can make money, it's time to crank up my effort and generate more useful articles. Hopefully I can see better results.

As for the questions, I did not answer. I apologize. It was late. I was up around 2 or 3 am. Not all questions are going to be answered, but I'll try.

How do I do my keyword research? I don't. I stated that in a previous thread of mine. I know I could make a lot more money if I did. But I haven't done any real keyword research.

    As for the directories,

    I like articlesbase and Goarticles.

Thanks bill for your answer. I think if you do serious keyword research then it will not only increase revenue but also it will give you a long term success.

I have seen from my experience, low competition keywords gives constant sales and these articles sticks in a google for particular serp.
