I say go for it while you're enjoying it. The great thing with article writing is that you can submit your articles to multiple directories. That means you do the work once by writing an article, and get hundreds of back links and promotions over and over again from it. Nice to see someone that is passionate about what they are doing.

You're not alone. When I get a new idea, I get into an almost hypomanic state of being. I can't sleep, I'm fidgety, my thoughts go a mile a minute, and I drive my fiancée insane because I won't shut the heck up.

lol! my girlfriend has been a bit concerned that i'm not going to bed the same time as her, and staying awake until the early hours. i'm exactly the same - can't sleep - can't even switch off to watch TV or anything. it's almost unhealthy! lol

Does she really understand what you "do" online? If not, you may want to take some time to show her a little bit so that she understands why you get a bit manic when you have a new idea!

my IM projects are new so i'm keeping it as under wraps as possible in case it fails (i know negative thinking isnt the right way but hey, i've failed before).

also she has a point - i shouldnt really be spending this much time in front of the PC, but its only in the short term (i hope!)

It’s good to have inspiration and keep writing. However, you have to pay attention to many details so that you may write nice articles, and so that you avoid repeating many things all the time.

I have one of those binaural beat cd's burnt onto my computer. I load up the file, put on my headphones and start writing.

Thentrack is about 30 minutes long and I am always surprised when it start from the begining and I realize I have written so many pages.

Then I back up and edit them into article sized chunks.

I completely understand what you are saying about not being able to stop.

Wow! That's a lot of articles. I could never write that many articles without a decent break and especially in such a short space of time. I do however get stuck in a timewarp when I am writing and can often find it difficult to stop, so I understand where you are coming from. So I say keep at it while you have it. Just remember to take breaks.

Been there. You will burn out. Take a break.

If it's new blog except the fact that all that hard work is not going to produce any results for weeks, or months.

Eventually if you want to be full time at this gig you will have to set up a schedule and pace yourself, or the burn out effect will hit you hard. Channel your energy.

We make between $130 - $170 a day in Adsense from blogs and I could increase that by writing like a mad man, but what good is that going to me and my wife, dogs, and kids.

Can't get wrapped up in the outcome - just enjoy writing. Sitting down to write a nice juicy post is a pleasure if you don't get all bent out of shape about what you are going to make from it.

Wow, you really love what you do! It's a good thing to be passionate about your work. However, don't neglect your health or else your earnings might just go to your medical expenses if you get sick. Get enough rest and eat well.

I can get the same way when working on something. It's just like anything once you get going you don't want to stop. I had this happen the other day when designing a site.

I set out to just make up a quick template and before I knew it was coding out the entire thing and putting it up and hours passed by.

As for your articles I wouldn't submit all those articles at once. I might space them out a little.

to be fair a lot are going to directories that won't approve them for a few days, and then it will take a while for each to be indexed, so technically they are being spaced out, just need to keep the ball rolling.

If you're writing for a new blog it might be worth scheduling some of those articles to be spaced out in time a little. You don't necessarily need to be posting tons of content every day on a brand new blog. You can schedule them to appear for the next few weeks, which might be welcomed if you do reach burn-out and need to rest at some time in the future, or if you want to start promoting and backlinking your blog as well as just writing for it.

But by all means keep the flow going if you're enjoying it..why not?

yea, i'm drip feeding content to the blog - 1/2 posts per day. it's the promotional articles that i'm writing like crazy.

Glad you're motivate and doing something about it!

When we get really passionate about something, it is human nature for us to want to completely immerse ourselves in the task at hand.

This is good to a certain degree, and Gary's right that you do not want to do any one task for an overly extended period of time, because you'll get tired, lose focus and the quality of your work will ultimately suffer.

I'd recommend not working uninterrupted on anything for more than 2 hours at a time. Once you've reached the 2 hour mark, stand up and get away from the computer and take a break for 5-10 minutes. Get a drink, stretch, and let your eyes drift away from your screen. You need to take periodic breaks like this to achieve peak performance throughout the day.

If I were in your position I would write as much as possible and get them lined up for release. Your girlfriend is very important though. So make time with her nightly and watch a movie or something. Put a SMALL note pad next to you to jot down article ideas. Do not give yourself enough room to write a whole article.

I tend to work a ton, but as long as I make time for my wife she does not mind.

Write as much as you can now that you are wired for it. You can submit your articles in bits even when you are not wring later. Its like writing in advance.

That's awesome that you are passionate about the subject, but eventually you will have less and less things to write about. Publish the written content on your site in a scheduled manner. Google will like that better than 30 post influx in one day.

Absolutely, from the articles written so far I've managed to get around 75 backlinks for some pretty good keywords. I now need to wait for these to take full effect and actually bring some traffic. If I am successful with this site (i.e it makes at least one sale/month, lol) I'll be explaining what I've done a little more to the forum. So far this forum has helped me a lot and I'd love to give something back.

I get this way every time I sit down to start a new project. I just started the 100 hubs in 30 days challenge. So, now I am working writing hub after hub after hub. This is driving me nuts because I can not seem to get off the keyboard to stop. I have been lurking and posting here in the WF for quite sometime today. Probably already made 5 + posts and plan on keeping it going into the night.
