@ BionicMan: I do not see anything they are offering where you can sell their DVDs and supplements among other products and paid membership subscriptions to get commissions per sale... Did they offer such an arrangement via the "special free gift" that comes bundled with the free 30-day club membership trial?

You see, this is how an online home business could earn profits:

Option 1. You have your products or services or membership subscriptions or whatever. You developed these as your own. You own full rights to these. You can legally sell these. These can satisfy the relevant needs and wants as well as solve the relevant problems of people interested in topics and sub topics relevant to what you're selling. You make money by selling your products, services or membership subscriptions and so on.

Option 2. You select products or services or membership subscriptions or whatever owned by others. Those others offer an affiliate marketing program where you can sign up to it, sell whatever they're selling. You can sell these online or even offline, i.e. To your family, friends and colleagues... Then you receive commissions for each thing you sold or for each person you referred to them as a qualified affiliate or member or whatever other thing they asked you to sell so you can receive commissions per sale.

For options 1 and 2 above: You build a website or hire someone to do it for you in exchange for something this person needs and wants. Could be your friend who happen to like your running shoes or tennis racket or whatever. You sell whatever you're selling on your website. You make money each time you sell anything you're selling.

Option 3. You have content. Content can be videos, articles, software and so on. You own full rights to this content and can legally sell them without violating any right of any person or entity. You sign up to Google Adsense or a similar program from other online advertising companies. You place those relevant ads on your website. You sign up to pay per qualified lead programs offered by Cost Per Action companies. You place those relevant offers on your website. You make money each time a person clicks those ads or each time a qualified lead fills out an offer.

To reach your potential customers and make them know you and what you're offering on your site: You can make a list of the keywords used by your potential customers each time they search for topics and sub topics relevant to whatever you're selling or offering on your website. You can then make a list of the websites that rank high for those keywords. You can do this by using each of those keywords on Google and other popular search engines...

Then, make a list of the URLs included in the top 10 or 20 results for each of your keyword searches. Identify which of those websites accept content contributions from viewers: You, like me and other members and lurkers here, are viewers of sites we do not own. You go to these websites and share useful information, advice and content relevant to the needs and problems of your potential customers, though unless asked, DO NOT mention whatever you're selling or whatever you're freely offering on your website -- For free content on your website, point them to it when the content you pointed them to should add benefits they gain, so these benefits should not be present in the place where you placed a link pointing to the content on your site - the first few times you talk to them - Reason: It's like saying: "Hi! I'm new here. Here's my product. Buy it here". Or "Hi! You replied to my post last week. I sell a product. You can buy it here". The info, advice and content you share on those sites can be comments, posts like this one, articles, graphics, videos, software, ebooks and other documents among other content like review pages, press releases and so on. Purpose: To build your reputation as a friendly expert source of information, advice and content useful and relevant to the needs and problems of people interested in topics and sub topics relevant to whatever you're selling or offering on your website.

Make a list of the sites that do not accept content contributions from viewers. especially those with a large number of daily viewers as well as a site with a large mailing list. Contact the owners of those sites. Offer them something which they need so they can promote whatever you're selling, or whatever you're freely offering, on their wwebsites and mailing list ads or newsletters in exchange for what you offered them. The content they post on their sites or on their mailing list ads or newsletters should contain links pointing to your website.

Make a section of your website visible to your potential customers. This section will be where they can write their email, click Subscribe and receive an email with a download link of free content they will find useful for their needs and problems relevant to whatever you're selling or offering on your website. Each person who does this will automatically be included in your mailing list. There are free mailing list scripts that you can add to your website. The person who will develop your website should know this along with other details like how your customers can pay for whatever you're selling by using PayPal, credit cards, debit cards and so on.

Yes, I started my business 5 years ago and run it up to this day, with my eyes closed -- I've been totally blind for more than 7 years now and have also been self unemployed by choice for 5 years now. If you are now reading this and feel clicking my sig below will provide added value and benefits not found on this thread, then that's what I meant by: Establishing yourself as a friendly expert source of info, advice and content relevant to the needs and wants of people interested in topics and sub topics covered by whatever you're selling or whatever you're offering on your website, without actually mentioning to these people what you're selling or freely offering on your website. I'm sure you can think of ways this will benefit me: Each time anyone you know asks for something which you know I freely offer on my website or sell on my site or anything I can help with, you could include me in the list of persons that someone you know can contact. You just sent me viewers who are also potential customers because they are interested in whatever I'm freely offering on my site or whatever I'm selling online or offline.
