what should my blog be about?

I want to create some content on a niche but I don't know what to do. Where do you go to find some inspiration to write on a certain topic? How do you figure out whats popular and hip now a days. I go on amazon.com usually and go under the magazine section and see whats the top magazines to get some ideas. I also go on pulse.ebay.com and see whats selling on ebay. What are some ways you go about doing this. I have never actually made any money blogging or online at all so you can say I am a total beginner. I've been reading some of the post on here and been researching on the internet for some time and I want to take some action.

Treat me like a stupid child.
Take me step by step.

    Your blog should be about a hot topic like travel, weight loss, water cars, etc. You can go to 43things.com and check hot topics.

    It is always easier to blog or write about something we a) have some type of knowledge about & b) are interested in.

    My suggestion would be to find blogs that you have interest and knowledge about...this will make it easier to write your blogs. After you have found a market that you like and have knowledge about...finding niche areas of the market to create and sell products to is very easy.

    I use yahoo buzz to get the top stories. In Yahoo buzz, they show today's top stories, up and coming stories and the day's top searches.

    maby a really cool mobile phone(Latest one) or a cool weight loss programe.

    Blog on your passion or a hobby. Answer this question and blog about the answer:

    What would you do all day (not eating pizza and waching movies, something productive) if all the bills were paid and most of your time was your own? Be passionate about it and then figure out how to monetize it.

      I would take a legal pad out and write down some of my experiences and interests. Once you do this you can do research on google.com. You can then start writing a blog about your experiences and interests in a particular niche.

    I agree about blogging about your passion or hobby. Lets say you collect American postage stamps. Read up on them, make yourself an expert on them so that people will want to keep returning to your blog to find out what the latest news is about stamps. I would also suggest to make sure to update your blog regularly so your visitors know what to expect and when they can expect it.
