Writing Technical How-To Articles?

Does anyone have any experience or examples of great Technical How-To articles.

I have a lot of experience with electronic music production equipment and would like to write articles around my experience.

A lot of what I write will be step-by-step. Such as "load the audio sample, press this button, press that button ..." but I'm struggling to find a good style/layout that is suited to this type of writing.

I have experience writing articles, but not these sort of articles.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I'd suggest you go browse around on Ehow for a little while. You should find plenty of good samples.

    I do have one concern with your question. When I read your question, my between the lines belief is you equate "How To" writing with step by step boredom.

    Take a little time on YouTube and find a few of the great how-to video bloggers. Watch their level of energy, personality, and entertainment. Take those same attitudes into writing your articles. I seriously doubt most musicians are really looking to be bored to death with technical details as much as they would love to be entertained into enlightenment.

    One person I'd love to hear comment on this topic is Rob - CCMusicman. I'm sure he has some valuable input on this topic.
