I was wondering what the best buying keywords are when doing amazon review sites. Should I target something like "product name review" or "buy product name" or "product name deals". Just wanted to see if I could get any feedback on this. Thanks guys

I would just do "product name" for those with low competition and a decent monthly search.

Target those keywords that people are searching for.

I generally title my product review article "product name review", and then get ranked them for both "product name"- and "product name review"-keywords. It gets me good conversions - though, I haven't tested these keywords against, for example, "buy product name". I would guess people searching for "buy product name" are looking for an ecommerce store rather than a review site...

Go with the "product name/model review" keywords. On the long run it's best to build a niche site reviewing tens of products in that particular niche.

  • First, there are better qualified people than me to answer this.

Some, but not all, of the Amazon superstars on the WF, listed in no particular order, are -

    Dan Brock
    Sara Young
    Paula C
    Biggy Fat
    Sojourn
    Craig McPherson
    TimG

What I have learned from all their posts here (hundreds) and one of their products (a few of the above have really good Amazon product offerings), is this:

Several were amazed that they got traffic from product name price and product name features.

They did not intentionally market to these words, but received traffic from them.

Imagine the buyer intent with a keyword like Product Name Price!

That could be maxed out with a comparison table.

And I have personally found that very unique model numbers return great traffic at looowwww comp.

For instance, comp may be very high for Sony DreamYanker SDY34b (made up), but sdy34b may actually get lots of searches by itself, and I have found comp low on model numbers alone in many instances, so research those.

That is a model number that will most likely be unique to that one product and no others.

You have to be flexible in your approach to product keywords....

In some categories, your product keyword should be in the format of:

    "manufacturer + model number"

    With others it is:

    "manufacturer + model name"

And still with others it is:

    "manufacturer + product name"

Use a good keyword tool that will show you alternates when you do your research....

Hi everyone, great conversation here. Just wanna get some advice from you all, since I'm new here. Do you put that keyword "product name review" in the content entirely? I imagine it's hard to spread that words to the post to match the keyword density.

I use a simple technique. Because we need buyer's keywords.

    1. First select the product page in amazon.
Eg: Amazon.com: Bern 79-111"x43"x29" Black Glass Top...Amazon.com: Bern 79-111"x43"x29" Black Glass Top...
    2. Go to Google adwords keyword tool and paste the product URL.
