How to avoid malicious sites

You can't be too careful these days but here are some small steps to help:

google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?Site=
Put the domain you want to check after the = sign
Example: Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for malware.testing.google.test/testing/malware

Other tools for site checking:
https://safeweb.norton.com/
McAfee SiteAdvisor Software

Here's a Firefox extension that can help avoid phishing and spoofing attacks:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../petname-tool/
For example you can give your own "petname" to your paypal or amazon login pages so that if you're directed there in the future, you'll see your petname IF it's legitimate.

Here's another tool to check your links:
AVG | LinkScanner | Free Internet Security Software
WARNING: This is a large download (apprx. 102mb)

And you may want to check your own site:
WordPress › Exploit Scanner « WordPress Plugins

Of course there is no such thing as perfect security but we can take small steps for a safer online experience.
